Loved this as a reminder that tutorials won't turn out the same way on my eyes and that tweaking the look is fine. It can be disheartening when things look 'wrong' when I've followed all of the steps. I'd love to see you follow an Alexandra Anele tutorial.

Agree. I am in my 50's. I always have to adjust, but your tutorials help me not get it muddy, and often point me in to my own personalized use for a shade. I think make up can stress people out, and it should be fun. I AM going to invest in some sigma brushes, because I believe in the right tools. I have some favorites, but those seem pretty good for blending better.

Thank you for pointing out that things won't ever look exactly like the inspiration. You have to adapt to your eye shape, structure, etc. I actually like how your look turned out better than ND. Yours looks more blended and seamless.

At first, your outer V looked kinda patchy but as soon as you applied the "blind" and "pure love" shades it instantly took the patichness away. Beautiful!!! I love that you did this idea of following a tutorial. And I love that you explained that it may not look exactly like the model. You did an amazing job!!

This looks like the model’s eye look but for your eye shape. I absolutely love it. When I follow tutorials I love when people describe there intent. Like when they say I’m going to take this brush and blur the line. So I know to blur the line for my eye shape. I will definitely recreate this look today.

I love how you showed the process for recreating someone else's work and how it probably won't look the same on you. From watching your videos, I've learned that eye shape and technique play a big part in putting together a look. Sidenote: that lid shade is gorgeous.

I followed this tutorial using Kat Von D's Lolita palette and Colourpop Just My Luck, then a Stila liquid eyeshadow on my inner corner. This was pretty fun. But I had to agree with your final thoughts that I probably would've gone in with a half cut crease. I also don't go in with dark shadows first because I'm a newbie at makeup & to intimidated that I'll mess up. I watch Beaut Bean's tutorials & always floored when she starts with a dark transition color. Y'all are such wonderfully inspiring artists! Love your channel!

I recreated one of her looks with the Love palette too, it was amazing!! My eyeshape is also very different from the model’s, but it was still a beautiful look. Natasha likes packing matte eyeshadows, especially dark mattes. Also you should see other looks she did with other palettes, she always goes all the way to the brow bone.

gailbook70 I thought the same as you, but I took the plunge and did it, and I have to say I had some of my best eye looks, I got so many compliments on my eye looks at work. I’ve since tried a few other Natasha Denona eye tutorials, and they came out pretty well, even for someone like me, that is no where near being as good as Natasha or as good as Angela.

okay so i went to natasha's makeup school and the thing she doesn't tell in her tutorials about blending is how she gets it so smooth. her main trick when blending two colors is to take a brush and dip it into the two shades she's blending together and start blending. than she would take a clean brush and take the second shade (blending shade) and blend further. it's hard to explain in words (also my english sucks lol) but i hope you got the point haha

It looks beautiful! Nothing to do with your skills, I'm just shocked at how patchy the dark colors are...I mean, for the price, I feel it's a little ridiculous how much finesse those dark colors require.

I would have given up half way through this and I was really on the fence about the look until the end and you made it work amazing for your eyes. It really shows the talent you have to be able to fix the colors when they didn't look salvageable!! You definitely do more simple looks in about half the time and I would choose your looks over ND's. This look is super heavy and would only really work on a special night out. Well done 😘

I loved this style of video. First of all I like seeing your whole face....😁😁 I like how you told us the shade you were using and explained what you were doing for each step. I also like how you didn’t cut out the parts of the video if you weren’t happy with it. Then you advised us how to correct it. We have a perception that beauty influencers. It seems they do everything perfectly and 5 minutes to the perfect eye look. That’s not realistic and I appreciate you showing us how to correct it and why. I just love your channel. I’ve gotten so many tips from you regarding blending makeup and brushes. It’s really improved my eye look! Thank you 😊💚💙💚💙💚
