I got 2 suggestions for vids if you are interested: The first one is that I am currently fasting for Ramadan where I don’t eat from sunrise to sunset.. you should try it for a week. The second is being homeless for 72 hours

I love how thoughtfully you did this challenge - so many of us are in a tough financial spot at the minute and this is great at showing you can get by even with the smallest amount

I know £1 is a nice round figure for the challenge, but if you go slightly above you can eat very well for that amount. Beans on toast and cheap tins of tomatoes seem to be the "go to" items for this but if you already have a stock of spices (which last absolutely ages) you can easily feed yourself a variety of meals for maybe £1.50. There's been times where I have about £20 to last me 10 days until payday and whilst the stress of being skint isn't great, I probably ate better and more healthily than I do now.

Alfie days did it with a lot more arrogance and basically made it one big joke at how he could mooch of people because he was famous and had black cards etc. This is a lot more of an accurate representation of what it’s actually like for a lot of people.

Lidl is brilliant. Two bags of shopping is roughly £25. At Waitrose it's double that, and I noticed the other day their portion sizes are slightly smaller too, so not only are they molesting your wallet, they are subtly short changing you.

A quick tip for a snack, try toasted bread with just salt and oil, simple but delicious. And then PLEASE, when you make pasta with sauce do not use carrots like that, and use another pan to cook the sauce. If you want to put something in the sauce use canned tuna. Then you should put salt in the boiling water, not afterwards. Nice video anyways

dont have a toaster or microwave - put the bread in a pan or pot over a gentle heat - (you dont need oil) flip it a few times to get it evenly browned - once toast is done use the pot/pan to cook the toms then make the sandwich with grated cheese and place in the pot / pan again as if your frying it ( NO OIL NEEDED ) flip it a few time like a burger = done

Vegan diet isn't a good idea, you will suffer from nutrient deficiencies, especially amino acids. Most vegans look like they're 90 by the time they get to 30.

quick tip if you don't have a can opener you can take the can outside find a hard surface like concrete or a stone and you can then rub the lip of the can against it until the lip has gone and it will then start to eat into the seal and open the can
