Smart move skipping Osprey, that trail is typically really sandy. Jonathan Dickinson Trails are better after it rains. Super hot in the summer.. so take advantage now that it's winter. As for the MTBs... get yourself a hardtail, 29er, with hydraulic disc brakes and a decent fork. The brands you mentioned are very similar (Specialized, Giant, Trek, Canyon, Fuji). Other notable brands .. Scott, Cannondale, Niner, Santa Cruz.. sometimes you can get good deals locally on used bikes too, so look around. A Specialized Rockhopper Comp or Elite 29 is imo a decent entry level MTB

Here in Idaho Falls I.D. we just got a mountain bike park in town, I have lived here now for 47 years. And it finally happened in 2022... After buying the Fast Ripper in 2019 and looking at a few other SE Bikes, I bought the OM DURO XL because it has 4130 Chromoly and is pretty Bulletproof!! So after the park opened up, I had to go make a few laps. It was an amazing workout!!! We also just got a Ryder bike park, so I had to get a YT Industries Dirtlove core 2. And its bad-ass!!! I just need to learn how to fly now 😈

I’m from Western Washington and there’s lots of fun trails. I take my Fasty to a park down the street from my house, it’s got a a couple nice trails and a small bmx track.

Cool video Steezy! Getting out in the trails with knobby tires! I've been mountain biking for some years now but now I'm starting to get into big BMX wheelie bikes. I'm still working on keeping up my wheelies. Sometimes it feels like a good workout and I get out of breath practicing and trying to stay in the balance point. Mind you, I'm 50 now. Does the physical exertion get minimized once you get comfortable at the balance point?
