Definitely should take the 7 train to Jackson Heights/Corona/Flushing. The food in those 3 parts of NYC is crazy diverse and good. Jackson Heights and Corona are known for food from Latin America. Mexican, Dominican, Salvadoran, Puerto Rican, Ecuadorian, Colombian, Venezuelan, Cuban, Peruvian, etc. Flushing is arguably the real Chinatown, but has amazing Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese food.

Pretzel needs mustard and you need to get a good soft fresh one. A lot of the street pretzels are stale and reheated too many times. I always try to find the busiest street cart where they sell tons of pretzels. The more pretzels sold usually the more fresh they are.

I'm surprised you didn't visit 34th st (K-town) or Flushing or Brooklyn's 8 ave/Bensonhurst. Honestly, in New York, the good food places are outside of Manhattan. From a New Yorker, Manhattan has really over priced water down food.

Hi did the pretzel have a flame broiled flavor? It should of had a taste as if made over fire like a grill or firepit. Best to get by Rockefeller center. And with mustard.

Horchata is from Spain and Mexico. In Spain it's made with tiger nuts (plant based milk, tastes slightly sweet) in Mexico it's made differently. I've only had the Spanish variation.
