I played Axis '23 last year and actually really liked it. Like you said, it's rough around the edges, but there are some mechanics and animations that actually look and feel pretty safisfying. I don't know if it's in '24 too, but I also really liked that '23 had a pro/rel franchise mode.

For anyone like myself that has been away from video games for a long, long time, this is a very fun game and definitely worth the price at $20.

Have you tried Mutant Football League? The teams and players in the game are NFL parodies. They even have parodies of former players like Bo Jackson and Mike Vick in Dynasty mode as Free Agents. It's like NFL Blitz with monsters.

Pretty sure the appearance of The Chosen is an ad for that religious show that's on seemingly every channel and streaming service.

One of the announcers in axis football was also in NFL 2k which is why I like it I also like axis football because it has create a team , something Madden has been missing since Madden 12

So kudos to this reviewer. . . . this was a bad game compared to the AAA titles I am use to . . . but the reviewer still understood that people did work hard on it and it's not easy for a indie developer and even found some things to praise. Class move.

I've played 5 games. 4 have gone to OT. The CPU always comes back no matter how big the lead is. Always makes a TD catch with seconds to go, just like in the game you played.

This game started on mobile several years ago. I have Axis 2017 on my iPad.

1:07 They got one of the NFL 2K5 announcers very early on in this game series to capitalize off of NFL 2K5's popularity. The HUGE problem is that they never improve the god awful commentary... it's obviously not the voice actors fault, who is excellent in 2K5, but the devs. Commentary is extremely janky and doesn't match what's going on the field so much so that people purposely trying to hype the game would turn it off.

I loved axis football, on PC you could click to throw and basically you would just grab the highest speed RB and WR with A grade catching and you could pretty much do whatever you wanted. Pretty awesome game. Still really think you need to do Mario Super Star baseball. Legit awesome baseball game. The story mode is basically just stealing players from other teams. Gamecube version is much better than the wii version.

I am growing rather tired of the trend of people grading games on a curve. "Well, seeing as how it was made by an indie dev team/small team and they poured a lot of effort into it...." No, if they are charging money for it, then grade it as a game. This isn't the first version of Axis Football that has ever been released. It has been around for years, it still looks the same, it still plays the same, it still has the same terrible presentation. There has been very little development from year to year, and they keep wanting to charge you money for it. A fair review is: Gameplay: Average at best. Bad physics, bad player movement/animations. Graphics: PS2 Era. Presentation: Bare Bones: Very few lines that are repeated over and over again. Overall: 3/10. This isn't a good game. It isn't better than Madden, and Madden isn't even a good game. Though it is on sale for a discount price tag, it still isn't worth the money.

No way I can play this game but I REALLY want someone to make a good football game not using anything to with the NFL or actual players. Model it off the gameplay from NFL 2k. Good graphics, smart A.I., good body and great mechanics. Junior College football players would gladly put some motion capture sensors on their bodies for a little bit of money. The character from Grand Theft Auto III has better running form than they do in Madden and this Axis game
