here in germany we have a game called "black stories" like a full box full of such riddles one side riddle one side for the narrator. they even have different themes nowadays. rly enjoyed the vid these riddles remind me of childhood holidays

the issue with the riddle is that it has had hundreds of different wordings and meanings through the years. Hell one of them is that the soup with birds was the galapagos islands, not the soup tasting different etc. its really convoluted and weird, and i think a better example of us coming to false conclusions based on little information rather than lateral thinking excercise, considering in most acutal circumstances, you dont have instant exact feedback to accurately facilitate lateral thinking

I figured it out at like 19 minutes when they tied cannibalism to him not knowing he was going to kill himself. Obviously he finds out he was a cannibal - straight up irked me to listen to these bumbling buffoons after that 😭 had to skip to the end

Not going to lie the riddles fucked cause the version they chose was the one that made the least sense and the "Aquaintance" is his wife, the Albatross was also his Wife via hallucination which is why he kills himself. They got it early on when they asked if the Albatross was his wife
