Thanks a lot man. If I get another try I’ll make sure to not crash it and film it to prove it next time 😂

Yeah it seems like a great concept to me. It was a eye opener when I pressed the brake and didn’t slow down as much as I expected 😂

In Brazil 80% of the kart competitions are 4 strokes (due to the very high import taxes on the 2 stroke engines - Rotax, OK, ROK, etc). But we use GX390 instead. There are multiple national chassis manufactures that produce chassis specifically for 4 strokes. With 18 HP, they are pretty fast, even weighting 35+ kilos. And we use tyres MG Red

Great video! Thanks buddy! I have a question please - 3:44 and 4:05 - I've noticed that you (deliberately?) send the kart into the slide towards the corner on braking, slide few meters with the wheel opposite to the turn, and then straighten the wheel and just go to the apex. Does this technique always work for you? Or do you also use the "brake with straight wheel, than turn" technique?

Hi! Thanks for the comment! Funnily enough I have a video I’m posting this weekend which fully explains why we do this and for what reasons. Short answer though. Yes. It is deliberate, it’s two fold. 1. It gets the back rotated, so you can change direction quicker whilst trail braking. 2. If you brake in a straight line, you only have 2 wheels slowing you down. If you brake sideways, you will have all 4 wheels (although only a small amount) slowing you down due to scrubbing

If I’m not mistaken it’s similar to the “Scandinavian Flick” in Rallying…

How much hp do the sealed engines have ? GX tunning store UK have a stage 1 kit with 11hp for £400. Or a stage 2 with 16hp for £900. Stage 2 has all the important parts upgraded for racing.

it varies from dyno to dyno but from new they have just above 9bhp. only msuk fiche ones are allowed so no modification to internals . this is to keep the costs down and as equal playing field as possible meaning v.close racing

Imagine crashing a lawn mower 😂 good fun grab yourself a Yamaha kt100s

Kt100s got phased out in the uk around 20years ago. I don’t usually drive the 4strokes as you can see from my other videos 👍🏻
