Hear me out... miniature of your studio space??? It could be a whole mini series as you refine and make the tiny pieces to go inside. Miniatures and dollhouses are SO POPULAR right now! I seriously saw this video and got SO EXCITED! Like, smiled until it hurt, bounce in the seat, flappy hands level excited because TINY THINGS ARE SO ADORABLE 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

I'm a very casual artist and have barely ever used watercolors, but yesterday I started making some silly watercolor doodles as a small gift for my boyfriend and even though my technique is definitely not correct I'm having so much fun with it!

Would you ever consider doing a video on perspective? Like the bridge painting? I can struggle sometimes with that and making sure it actually is proportionate and at the right angle.

Loved the miniature art you created. All turned out much more detailed than I thought possible. The rose in the tiny book was fantastic. You did really well holding those teeny pencils, think my hands would have cramped up.

I often wondered how the well known miniature portrait painters did their work. The right tools make the difference. Your small canvas paintings were beautiful. I need a detail brush!! All of those little supplies probably fit in doll houses but they are so well done it fools the eyes. Cool video!!👍💖

Adorable! I hope the minis become decoration, and you occasionally show them (for example, going to grab your color cube, and grabbing the mini one "by accident")

Those mini items are SO cute, even if they are somewhat impractical or just not functional at all. Crayons are already a vit less accurate than pencils so I think getting a good sharp result from the tiny colouring pages was always going to be challenging. The art works you made on the canvases and in the tiny watercolour book were all awesome though! My favourite is the sunset pier one.

I loved them all and had a hard time picking my favorite. I guess it would have to be the sunset and the watercolor rose. My hands hurt watching you with the miniature crayons. 😂

You're a girl after my heart! I LOVE miniatures and have actually thought about doing something like this as well. There are actually tutorials showing how to make more of your own miniature art supplies, too. There's an idea for you for a future video (ie creating a mini "masterpiece" completely with your own, homemade, miniature art supplies). 2:36 P.S. I can't believe you actually found an itty bitty self-healing mat!

Woohoo and happy day! Minis have arrived! It’s all so cute!! That trolley looks like my art cart, luv it!! And the mini m&ms look GIANT! I didn’t know JB had a mini book! Lovely watercolors and it’s really really easy to over think water color or gauche- a hole I often fall into with my fledgling watercolor ability. You still turned out a nice painting! When you were using the mini pencils I thought- need a mini pencil holder! Hehehe. Nice video, it was just as much fun as expected. Thank you src team! Chipper cheerios!

Schmincke Horadam watercolors are actually professional grade water colors and are really expensive. Strange that there was no color in them.

Beautiful work! The long bristel brush is called a rigger or liner brush and is made especially for long lines but works great for details too. 😊

I love watercolor on canvas. But I would recommend getting watercolor canvas if you want to do it again. It has a lot less bumby squares and they are smaller. I use anything from a 3x5 to a 10x10 canvas panel. They are about 5$ for a 5 pack of panels at hobby lobby. I just recommend priming the panel with some water to get the color to absorb right and panels are made with cardboard so make sure to let the back dry, especially if you use a blow drier. Water color will bleed easily if you don't keep the panel fully dry between layers.

As far as using watercolor on canvas I just did a bit of research on it a few days ago. From what I read you dont normally do it because it lacks the absorption to be able to do things like a wet on wet in the same way that paper allows for. That being said it seems that you are going a bit heavier which it probably fine. I think they came out good. I love Kristies brushes. It looks like you have both sets. I only have one so I am very jealous. Also I think Sarah needs her own doll house where she can decorate a couple studio rooms with all the minis

I’d love to makeover a dollhouse! Totally beyond my skillset, but maybe teaming up with a pro in the future could be fun. The watercolor on canvas makes sense. It felt like an acrylic/watercolor hybrid. Which I didn’t mind.

One of my local libraries use to (before covid) do a monthly tiny painting class. We use acrylic paint. It was fun, and it was nice to finish a project in 2 hours. I wish the library would start the class back up, but the new director isn't a fan of stuff like that, so he's pretty much not approving any adult art program. I hope he leaves soon...lol.

I have a mini watercolor set keychain. These are so tony they're so cute. But I don't know that they would be 1/12th scale for doll houses. Its neat that they work though.

Awesome result Sarah! That really looked like fun. You nailed all of those paintings. It's a great medium for sketching without a pencil.. Water color is my favorite because of the versatility. Thank you for sharing your time and your adventure etc...👍🤟🪡🎨
