It feels like the developer only thought people enjoyed Jump King because it made them angry, people enjoy it because of the fun design, brilliant art style, and while it was cruel it never felt unfair, if you fell in Jump King it was because you made a mistake with your jump, it didn't expect you to magically know that at random points you could fall through the floor, or have terrible terrain physics that mean you are floating, or extremely irritating mechanics like locking you into a fall that forced you to go to the start again, that isn't fun

@@punpunpunyama9271I wouldn't give it too much credit, it really is that indolent, had a bunch of stolen assets that you need permission for commercial use, and NFT promotion. It's trying to be a lazy cash grab, and doesn't stand anywhere near getting over it and Jump king. In fact it's a huge insult to rage games due to it's ulterior motives and slothfulness.

Jump King is basically vertical Celeste. Given, the skill ceiling isn't as high but the reason its a beloved game is because its a really well polished platformer with amazing soundtrack and artstyle. Thats the exact thing that makes Jump King also a good game. Only Up is like someone discovered Unity last week and pasted in every single asset in the engine and expect things to make sense

This game is more unforgiving than Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, where the tiniest mistake can take you back all the way to the ground.

Well, I also saw this game explode and watched some clips of people raging and doing wacky shit, but I also have no idea about the routes and plays and the general layout, so it’s nice to jump into it from zero with Connor cuz it brings me back to the insanity that were jump king and pogostuck streams AND I got to finally see how the game is played and explore it
