I got Emp last week. And it was the most intense shit I have done so far because I rarely slept and I took of 1 week from work to achive it. It also was the most fun experience so far. All in all I am glad I did it. I got to get to know a bunsh of new people and enjoyed playing together with them.

This was such a great watch, and as a fellow AD who managed to complete the emp push in BR before level 39 (I was originally just farming for the black dye), I felt all this on a spiritual level. I swear its always Alsewell, as well. It’s the keep where hopes and dreams generally go to die (or sometimes, just sometimes, are made). I’d only been PVPing for a few months, and I’m not a 1vX sweaty, or a bomber, or a gank. I’m just there. I can fight, but there isn’t much to be done against the EP zergs. I did realise that I have the mind for the overall map tactics, which helped me a lot, so I loved that you called in backup to flag Glade! It also both helped and hindered that I’m on the opposite timezone to the majority of the player base. I was never around for the big AD pushes and the heavily populated maps. I think I tried to Emp once, maybe twice, on my own before realising that I needed help. While on uni break, I joined up with a guildie friend who also wanted the achievement and we duo pushed really successfully (with the help of the whole faction as well, because we could never have done it without the support of guildmates and all of AD). I hardly ever use the Former Empress title (especially in PVP) but I love that Emp throne. I designed an entire house around it and made a big old AD throne and war room. Now I just need to keep going and get level 50 so I can have the decoy scroll… Lol. Yep. I legit PVP simply so I can dress in black and furnish houses… But it was such a thing, and you should be proud! It is all about knowing that you did it. That you achieved it. That you COULD. Yes, it’s a video game, and yes, we should all make a point of touching more grass, but every time I zip into my house to change builds or something, I see that throne and I think back on that epic push. I have so many memories of those days, and of the comradery and effort and cooperation with others that it took to get it; of the stress (lol) and of chugging coffee at 8pm instead of wine because I couldn’t afford to get my skills confused. They’re memories that I’ll keep for a long, long time. (sorry for the rant; I’m avoiding starting uni work!)

I loved hearing your story. I am still a noob at pvp but starting to slowly enjoy it a tiny bit. It's still frustrating just getting demolished when others barely take any damage. Have yet to win even a 1v1 in cyro. Even on a dk, (yeah I suck) but I am trying! I don't count IC since a lot go in with pve builds. Again congrats!

I think just having one or three people to hold your hand while making that emp push means the world! Right after gaining emp my answer to the 'was it worth it' question was hell no it's not worth it but now that I've had almost a year after gaining the achievement I think it is worth it. I've had emp costume envy since before game release back when I was keeping up with eso teasers and now that I finally have the costume I dress all my characters and companions in it even if I don't use it all the time. It's the outfit that gets more compliments then any other.

Heya, MoS player here; saw a couple of my fellow guild members at the start. Gz on the emp! Has been a tough couple campaigns with what seems like dhariel and the other blue tryhards on 24/7 claiming points during non peak hours.

Good story because, yes you had help, but it was grim determination on your part and was *earned.* No bragging, no bombast, No belittling of foes. And, yes, as your remarks suggest, our ultime quest destination in an MMO is meeting yourself. Which may not always be a good or desirable thing for most folks, and can even turn regular people toxic when that meeting doesn't go well. But for you it worked. As I said, it's a good ESO story...for a change 😉

This was a great video, and what you said about most Former Emperors having a story to tell about how their reign began. 💪 I recently achieved that goal myself during Pelinal's Mayhem, and it truly is a story of a group of strangers coming together to thwart a common evil. 😅 As during the start of the campaign we helped someone get Emp who afterwards disappeared from the rest of the time, but a group of persevered and pushed onwards with winning the whole thing. Towards the end we were flipping the map and preparing to make someone else Emp who caught up with the former one, but our old leader reappeared out of nowhere and began leeching AP to retain his spot and stole the achievement from someone else. We would've been fine with him retaining if he'd helped with the campaign but he did not and left as soon as he retook Emp. As we felt cheated, a group of us decided to let the map flip and see the guy deposed before we stayed up later than we should've and retake everything. The only thing is that the guy who we were hoping to make Emp left, as he felt disheartened from being cheated and so the throne fell to me who was third.

Amazing story! Good ending for u. I cannot handle pvp, for me being emperor isn"t a big deal. I am slow fingers and i cannot be in conspiracies to get that high place, but i really show respect to former emperors cuz they work hard in many ways to get there. My goal is solo a DLC dungeon or Trial in veteran like my solo heroe players.

Great video even greater story. Id love to share my Emp run. Was playing nb bomber 35 hours without sleeping. Made 2mil AP in that time. Gone to sleep. Friends woke me up to tell me that they crowned me (i didnt know they will do that) and then I logged in and started to play until morning until second person on leaderboard asked me to give him opportunity to get emp so I abandoned campaign very quickly :)

Man it was so hard to watch. I mean everytime you were getting close but something bad happened. I remember getting Emperor back in 2014, game was ded, chose a smallest campaign, joined a guild that helped me get Emperor. And that was it.

It would be cool if when someone emp'd there would be a cut scene for their toon being crowned and sitting on the throne but i get that would be too intricate for zos lol

Yup, we former emperors/empresses all have a stressful and wonderful story to tell. Great vid! Congrats on Emp! I’m not that good at PvP, but I wanted the furnishing and costume, and I wasn’t working at the time! I had no guild and no friends to help me beforehand. However, I had time to review emperor guides, strategize, and play the game. I decided to become emperor in a below 50 campaign that would begin amid the Witches Festival since I figured it would keep some of my potential competition occupied. Two weeks before the campaign began, I spent my time preparing one AD character and one EP character for the campaign by getting them tons of skyshards in PVE zones. I figured if AD was tougher to be emperor in, then I’d try with my EP character and vice versa. Once the campaign was underway, I made friends amongst allies and enemies. I was transparent about my goal to become emperor, and I promised them that if they supported me, then I would support them in their emperor endeavors. Within 2 days of the beginning of the campaign, I was crowned, and over the next 2-3 days I grinded Cyrodiil to make good on my promises to crown people in both AD and EP who had helped me become emperor. It was definitely worth it to reach for such an intimidating achievement and succeed, and it felt equally good to help others become emperor too!

Emperor title is so cool but unfornetly so easy to get. Gather 3-4 friends and you can be emperor on below 50 campaign in 2-3 hours. Its so sad It should only ve achivable on greyhost so that it could mean somrthing. But the game is overall so casual, kills the insentive to play or try.

The blur on the left side of the screen is really distracting.

I helped so many people being emp and i just stop to do that... why ? I play this game since 7 years am 5 stars since 4 years and NEVER be emp myself 😞 nobody support me nobody let me being top on leaderboard
