As someone who plays Ganon (only because he was my main in smash 4. Not because he is broken. It’s just an added bonus) Roy is probably one of the hardest matchups for me. The counter does lots of damage to even a jab and he can edge guard so well it hurts. Roy is probably a great counter to Ganondorf when played right

You say Ganon has the beefiest up tilt, but I think Ike’s and Ryu/Ken’s are up there too. They may not be as strong, but they certainly feel and sound beefy. That’s just the perfect word to describe it

Ganondorf protip for you: Use air dodge right after you get launched pretty far from the stage to get back. You could have made it back a few times if you did.

up tilt is the way to go for edge guarding, yea you can risk the spike or get a fsmash for a hard read but not only is it pretty much the only way you're ever gonna land one of those bad boys you'll find that it lands more often than the other two options.
