So I am attempting to lift 100,000lbs, but if I don't make it there will be consequences: for example, if I don't make it over 20k lbs, I have to go bald.

We all know push-ups shouldn’t count as body weight since dips are working the same muscles at the same weight but are more difficult since lower body also come off the ground. According to a Google search, push-ups are 64% body weight on average.

I think if I did it, I would take 100 pounds and do sets of ten on squats, deadlifts, bench and barbell rows. Then when that got too tiring I would switch to dips and pull-ups and whatever else I could do. I will say that I don’t think push-ups should count for your whole body weight.

Depends. I think press ups are about 60% of your bodyweight. Definitely not the same as dips. These guys just wanted content. If I was serious I'd do rack pulls (or with their equipment just do an elevated deadlift).

Actually when you are doing push ups it's not really your whole weight. It's around 60-70% of your weight. But Great man. Respect!!

I tried today how far I could go with only deadlifts. I did sets of 10 deadlifts at 100kg with a rest time of 1minute 15secondes between sets. With the setup time before each set and the time to lift, I ended up doing 32sets in 1 hour for a total of 32tons (70548pounds). This was just a test so I went for sets, rest time and weights I was 100% sure I could handle, overall, this felt much less intense than my regular workouts, the biggest problem being the recovery time (as a powerlifter, I'm used to 3-4minutes of rest time between sets, sometimes going up to 10minutes when I'm going after new PRs). Most of the sets were done with conventional deadlift but every 5-6sets, I pulled sumo to let my spinal erectors rest a bit. I need to add 42% to my total to reach the 100k pounds so the next time I will try lowering the resting time between sets to 1minute. Each set was, on average, 112.5secondes long today so lowering that time by 15secondes would allow me to do 37sets (15% increase). Adding 10kilos (10% increase) and doing series of 11 instead of 10 (an other 10% increase) would push my total to 44770kilos (98700 pounds), less than 6 reps away from 100k so I guess I could squeeze an extra rep every 6 sets to reach the 100k. Next week I will try with the lower rest time, then after that I will try sets of 11 (with a set of 12 once every 6 sets). Depending on how I feel after those 2, the next time I will either add the 10 kilos at once or do it in increments of 2.5 or 5kilos.

@@_uchiha Update time! Shortening the rest time turned up to be a bad idea. No matter how light I was lifting, a shorter rest time always ended up killing my performance after a while so I decided to lengthen it to 1minute 30secondes but go for fast, explosive lifts to keep the total set time to 2minutes for a total of 30sets per hour. I managed to increase the weight up to 125kg (275lbs) and keep the reps count at 10reps per set for a grand total of 37.5tons in 1hour (82673lbs). Still far away from the mark but I'm getting closer. I think I will be able to safely add 1rep per set in a month or 2 to increase the total to 41.25tons (90940lbs) then I can try to lower the rest time again until I hit the mark. Overall a fun experience and it helped me breach a deadlift plateau, I was stuck at 255kilos since October and I finally reached the 6plates :D

@@reikosingh3164 yes it does... you do not push up full body weight, on a scale you can see EXACTLY how much you are pushing. They counted full body weight on push ups, but it should be around 60-70% of bodyweight.

Browney, just wondering, why dont you put foam grips on the pull up bars so your palms don't get destroyed? The ones that are in the door frame pull up bars should work perfectly.
