Football helmet is better, the body slot is better used for a backpack ,in the very beginning it can be good but the second you get pigskin (and a alchemy engine) you should replace it with the helmet *RANT OVER*

@@JacobCzxD438 Magiluminescence is also good, but I don't recommend it to new players. Backpacks are good when transporting resources, but over-reliance on it might lead to poor inventory management, always keeping unneeded things and being unable to use other powerful body slot items.

@@psychicchicken5263(sorry for bad English) in my opinion body armor is over-kill for regular applications its really only good for bosses and mini bosses. Mag is also very hard to imposibil to get as a beginner the ruins are just too hard for a beginner. But yes i am reliant on backpacks and my inventory is a absolute mess. Tldr; the ruins are too hard for a beginner. Body armor is only useful for bosses (in my opinion). I use backpacks a lot and my inventory is full of things i don't need

@@JacobCzxD438 I'm not talking just about body armor, there's also the rain coat just in-case someone else got the first eyebrella. There's also many amazing body slot items that you'll want to use later down the line as you get better, like mag, nightmare amulet, bone armor, nightmare armor, etc. and by the time you're ready to use those, you should have practiced inventory management in advance.
