Most likely because he’s traveling and making high quality content videos for us to enjoy. He’s also going hard against black belts in gyms he visits so I’d imagine that’s more of an achievement/honor for him and for us to witness.

Being a competition athlete = spending time+energy +money into an area where you're not guaranteed a return. Making KZfaq videos = less risk more reward.

I'm just a white belt but I use wing chun in the grip fighting. Helps prevent underhooks and collar ties.

Can you do a serious video on why "famous Black Belts" go to ADCC qualifiers and make "other" black belts look like little children, but then when these "famous Black Belts" go to the Finals, they themselves get made to look like little babies against the 2-3 "GREATS"???
@TapsNapsSnaps
@TapsNapsSnaps Ай бұрын
If you watch tons of the ADCC matches, there are actually quite a few judge's decisions. I wonder what the ratio of decisions to submissions was at the last ADCC. There are those freaks that went all the way through with subs. Goats.

Actually I have never thought about it but for curiosities sake, why don't you compete? For me who has competed just a few times a long time ago, I just don't like it that much compared to just training for the long haul for fun, health and improvement. Yeah there can be benefits to compete for sure, but many people do overplay these factors I feel. I get it more if someone have never competed in any physical sport, trains in a small gym, or maybe your gym doesn't do hard rolls ever for some reason or something. Or you like it ofc. Either way, training plus gym plus life keeps be busy and injuiry prone (also happy) enough 😅

How to progress in jiu jitsu but not get cauliflower ear? Is that an inevitability to progress beyond even a white belt? Or it possible with headgear and is wearing headgear in sparing frowned upon?

Not necessarily inevitable, sometimes genetics and your grappling style

🥋🤼‍♂👊At black belt, weight matters more than ever! If not, why are there weight divisions at BJJ tournaments? I would like to see the weights of your opponents. Great job, we used to do that at our school, tag team MMA 🥊, light sparring standing and when you hit the ground too close to the opponent's side, they could reach up and tap hands, and the opponent would jump on you. Tag team MMA 🤼‍♂👊

If you hate getting heel hooked so much, stop trying to pass from your feet and go to your knees.
@RollingcoleW
@RollingcoleW Ай бұрын
No. Standing is better than knees. hold your partner down and remove their connections continuously. Continuously. From the knees you can be pulled into offensive guard, arm drag, butterfly, scissor sweep, easy wrestleups, k gaurd to leg lock…. Etc. not so when standing
