I enter the street markets of La Ceiba, Honduras, to learn about their street foods, personalities, shops, clothes, prices, and more. I try yucca cassava with avocado, Garifuna “caballito” bread, sea snail soup, soursop, aloe vera, pork rinds with handmade tortillas, and more.
In a dark corner of the market, a man with a mysterious mustache offers me incense, herbs, and witchcraft soaps. I learn that some Hondurans use these products to attract a desired person, cleanse the house of evil spirits, emotionally "tie" someone up, get their ex back, protect themselves against envy, and more! The products were a bit expensive but the man with the mustache promised me a 100% guarantee of the effects. There was only one way to find out if they really worked-by trying the products myself.
