Absolutely, I love the Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream. I have dry skin, so this cream is perfect for my daily moisturizer under makeup. I don’t consider it too thick, but if you prefer a light lotion, this will be heavier, but it smooths out very well.

You can remove the metal part of the Laneige pump bottle with a tweezer, it will pop right out and reuse it again with other toners, I've donne it with dose type of bottles, just use the point of a tweezer and carefuly push up

I like using sprays when I feel like I may benefit from some moisture for the next skincare step. So I tend to use it after waiting around for my vitamin c to settle down since my skin wouldn’t be as moist at that point. I also topping a moisturizer with it for added gloooow. D’alba’s popularity mainly comes from the fact that Korean flight attendants looooove using it to refresh themselves and keep their skin hydrated throughout flights. Flight attendants are considered the epitome of current beauty standards so anything they use is a hit.

I have a mini of the Laneige Cream Skin, and I wasn't sure how to use it. I appreciate you including it in your review. I'll be sure to transfer it to a spray bottle. So many great products in this video! I think the Cream Skin Refiner is called Toner/Moisturizer in the west for ease of use. I've bought Cream Skin from YesStyle and Sephora over the years, and the names have never changed :)Bottles from the west have always said Toner/Moisturizer. I have combo/Oily skin and in the summer I use Cream Skin Refiner as my moisturizer! It's feels perfect in the heat
@AliceintheRabbitHole

You know what, that makes perfect sense. I can see people in the West going “what’s a skin refiner!?” - kind of like how I sometimes see toners called softeners in Eastern products as well. Good call on Laneige’s part!

I have the laneige cream skin in the mist form, I like it but it can feel a bit heavy sometimes, but I bought the cosrx balancium ceramide mist last year and like it so much better. I'm on to my 3rd bottle. It has better ingredients and it's great for layering between skin care steps at night and was great for during the day in summer as it doesn't leave a greasy feel. The cosrx balancium ceramide cream is my number one product at night also. Super thick. So you did get the Benton fermentation eye cream, I just repurchased it as well., but still loving my Heimish one. I've been off you tube for a week or two so I'm off to catch up on your last few videos now. 😊

I use the cream skin toner combined with the Amore pacific essence. During the day I will sometimes use the mist after I’ve finished my moisturizer step if I’m not wearing makeup. I didn’t realize they were the same product but different applicator before. Idk I use the mist less often, so it’s to too much of an extra cost for me to get the mist too. I also like the water bank cream as a day time moisturizer.

Ha ha ha, not only do I laugh when I read or hear heavy night cream, because I use it for daytime also. But, I also laugh when I see/hear "a little goes a long way/a pea size amount", all the while I'm slathering a big chunk on my face AND add a moisturising sunscreen which people claim "you don't need a moisturizer under this one because it's so moisturizing and it will make your face oily". I'm like "bitch please!" 🙄 Did I mention I also use several layers of toner and 2-3 serums and face mist with added glycerin in between layers? 😂😂 Right now, just 8 hours later my neck already feels tight and my face so and so 😬

When I first started using it I was not in love I was like what is the hype then I picked it up again about a month later and loved it I use FEssnce then hydrating type toner say Benton green tea cosrx propolis toner or a active toner then use that to seal it in then a 2 essence If I use a serum that is super watery say the dear klair midnight serum for example I put that after the first essence. I don't notice a smell to my langeige cream skin at all maybe u were talking about something else when I was typing girl I even use the lang cream skin with the Dr c kombucha essence.

I almost bought that Pyungkang Yul balm from iHerb a couple days ago, but decided to wait. Perfect timing. I had my first real experience of damaging my moisture barrier, and because I never have done so before and I'm very, very oily... I had nothing to help! Nothing occlusive enough, or basic enough. I had to use my 7 year old son's Aveeno that I put on his eczema spots. I vowed never to put myself in such a position again. I may buy the Illiyoon as well. I love the Laneige mist. I liked the regular toner but sometimes found it just a touch too greasy (I have dry/normal skin), especially when combined with other products. But there’s something about their mister that is just awesome. I tried putting my refiner/toner in a mist bottle & it was just not the same. But their mister delivers just the perfect amount of hydration & moisture and it dries down perfectly. I will absolutely buy the mist again. I typically use it if I need something in between cleansing my face & doing my skincare (like right out of the shower, for example. I love the Sioris mist for this, as well). In the winter, I let all my skincare absorb and do a spritz of this just before moisturizer and it’s perfect 😍 I had the opposite reaction to the Illiyoon cream. I think my expectations were too high, lol. It was a nice moisturizer but frankly, I get bored unless something is amazing me & this didn’t amaze me enough. I was dying to get thru the bottle (tube?) and used a lot of it on my body to get thru it faster.

Also, I have a theory about the cleansers. I think since most Korean products have some either hydrating or moisturizing element to them, (even treatment products), that it feels better to a lot of people to start off with a super clean feeling face. I mean, that's what I do... So I figured that may be what's up. Cuz you're so right, on my hunt for things that wouldn't burn my face I had to go with a Western cleanser.

I am so conflicted with the deabla mist it so frangerance and essential oil heavy I like it but it's a love hate I do not use it in skincare routine I'll use it as apre spray primer rather have the PL and I use it after makeup. I hated the cream skin a ND it grew on me u only need alittle I use it after the FTE and hydrating toners then alittle cram skin and I mean a little just like the kombucha. I use all light serums before the heavy to er or essence like the super watery Needle less or midnight serum or wishtrend oil drop then the kombucha or langeige then a thicker type serum it's all about playing around with what works I don't think rules really apply to skincare but I find away in putting them in. I love the Dermtlgy products well the frangerance free one. I have also been using the dear klairs eye butter as a eye serum with a little Benton fermentation eye cream over it great combo and sometimes I use the Benton on my whole face. I'm really loving both. O and if u haven't tried that NIOd mist they hype is real i was worried I was just wasting money on some hyped up stuff but no this stuff is so good and goes all trew the routine.i wish I bought 2 bottles and I missed out at the end I was gonna make more orders and everything was sold out I wanted even all the ordinary products so next sale maybe summer they had it a few day u need to try the Niod mist survival O and modulating gluecoside serum, omg perfect for sensitive skin that has irritation for those over exfoliating night dry winter itchy skin exams or anything takes it away and sloths on contact and survival is the best antioxidant I'd u can't u L ascorbic or just wasn't to rotate days. Is it worth it? Because im on the fence on ceramides. Was planning to get this. However, the ratio of ceramides is important for its effectiveness. Unlike retinol and vit c, that has tons of research being done. Its very hard to tell if ceramides actually works. Although its important, it kinda works like a moisturizer. Plus, the illiyoon cream does not disclose the ceramides %.. Im very hesitant on korean products (except for their sunscreen) because they like putting in natural ingredients in it and has small % of actually proven ingredients. Always feel kbeauty products emphasize too much on hydration which imo easily achieved with other products on more affordable price... Kbeauty products often to me comes off more novelty and gimmicky than effectiveness. Maybe because people are on the hype train kbeauty and kpop that they just give good reviews which leads me to believe i cant trust people's one sided opinion... Easy for korean to market and churn out products too..Im not after the hydration which can be formulated using cheaper ingredients. Just want to know if its effective and proven. Even this illiyoon cream that kept tugging my heart strings, i have a doubt on the back of mind that its just on the hydrating side rather than effectiveness... So the catch with the current research on ceramides is that it is using specific ceramides, while many Korean brands are formulating with newer options. In addition, the research into ceramides look excellent, but with a problem: the published literature doesn’t always define the ceramides (🤯 I know - onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/1346-8138.16175) Compound this with the difficulty of trade secrets. I have no doubt these brands are doing their own research, but they may or may not be publishing it. It leaves the customers in kind of a tricky position: do we go with strictly the science (which is: TEWL prevention and tretinoin) or do we investigate the brands that seem to have exciting new promises, but aren’t always sharing their data? This is very true both of western and eastern brands btw! But I’ll give Korean skincare a leg up in that the prices are typically SO much better than western. Even if you’re just buying Illiyoon’s moisturizer for the occlusive base, a $2/oz equivalent in the west would not have the cosmetic elegance. I’d say try the products that interest you and see for yourself if the hype is worth it? You can often find mini sizes as well. Hope that helps!

Thanks for another great video. I have two questions. 1. Putting price aside what is your favorite over the counter vitamin A or vitamin A type product of ALL time? 2. Putting price aside do you think Mary and may peptide serum or the needless serum is better? Thanks. 😁❤
@AliceintheRabbitHole
@AliceintheRabbitHole 2 жыл бұрын
Ok putting price aside is ridiculously hard for me LOL - I really wanted to just type “Geek and Gorgeous A Game 5!!” but ugh. Hmm. Tbh. To put aside both price and drama? …it might actually be the Drunk Elephant A-Passioni. Which isn’t a popular opinion at all, but my skin responded so darn well to that product - in the sense of never reacting AND seeing results. I think A Game works better, especially as the A Game 1 was difficult for me to acclimate to - but retinoids can be tricky. It’s not fun to experience the excess dryness/purging that can result! And putting price aside, neither - because the Peace Out microneedling patches are mind blowing for results (absolutely overnight). And yet they are no joke in price point. But if you can crack the code of what they do (it’s in the name), you can *cautiously* replicate those in a non-disposable system. And then, DRMTLGY would win.

What are you currently using? That may help in determining too. I was ready for 1% retinol at the time I tried it (although I max out at .01% retinaldehyde/adapalene and have to proceed with extreme caution with those).

@AliceintheRabbitHole tretinoin 0.05% every night and I do tretinoin 0.1% every third night. It just gets expensive to pay for derm appointments, pay for a sitter while at the derm appointments, pay for the prescription. Tret works fine for me, I just want something over the counter. Maybe I'll try adapalene? I know tret is gold, but I'm over the prescription method. Especially bc im only in my 30s, I feel my spf and sun protection does the heavy lifting in my routine.
@AliceintheRabbitHole
@AliceintheRabbitHole 2 жыл бұрын
Oh my yes glad you said that! I think adapalene might be a great choice for you? Your skin is likely adjusted enough to have no issues with it, and while the research into anti-aging with adapalene is in preliminary stages, it looks like it does offer those benefits thus far!

So I will at some point want to try the laniege toner. I have been using the Heimish Marine Care Cream Toner, I think looking for what your describing here, and I am about 85% sure it's behind the recent peeling problems. I couldn't fine the percentage, but Niacinamide is pretty high up in the ingredients list and this is what happens to my skin at higher percentages. :( I went back to the black rice toner for a while.

Yes don’t try it again!! I’m alllways doing that with products that I know don’t work for me (did it with the Augustinus Bader, again with the Elf…a fun price contrast that shows cost does not prevent reactions lol).
