It's surprisingly not bad. Not my personal favourite, but kinda good? Haven't seen it in years though, so I don't know if they didn't sell well enough here (Bavaria/Germany), or if they don't have it in some shops with really big variety.

Yeah, Nongshim is one of the biggest instant ramyun (korean ramen) brands. If you like that, then you should try Shin Ramyun.

I was able to try shin recently. I read there was mushroom in it and Google wasn't telling me where so I thought it was in the powder or the soup mix. Then my friend got it for me by mistake and I found it was in the veggie part and I was happy. My favorite is Samyang ramen

Have you tried eating that one? It's rough. I'm the sort who reads a recipe and where it says 1 clove of garlic, I put a head of garlic. But that thing is super intense.

After some searching, it appears to be Nissin RAOH. I've had the packet RAOH before and it is amazing, I didn't know until now that there was a bowl version of it too.

@@TheYoshieMaster Ohhh yeah I've had the Raoh packets before! It translates to "King of Ramen" so it definately lives up to its name. I wish I could find the bowls or even the miso packets locally, but I would recommend the Soy Sauce and Tonkatsu flavored packets. Here in the US, you can find them at a local Walmart.

Random ramen fact: Here in Spain, the cup ramen is called "Yatekomo", wich is a variation of the prhase "ya te como". That translated to english is "I alredy eat you". I know nobody cares, but I've found that fact intresting heh

@Paradoxical enigma is a phrase that cannot be translated good enough to make sense in english because is kinda a joke with the words (bcs "ya te como" means "I'm gonna eat you/I already eat you" and depending on the context, is one or the other). Also, is kinda a meme because It doesn't taste very well and a huge spanish singer with a strong voice, David Bisbal (who even had an EP with his most popular songs in japanese lmao) who sings the commercial jingle "yatekomo, yatekomo, como me gusta yatekomo, yATEKOMO YATEKOMO" ("yatekomo, yatekomo, how much I like yatekomo, yATEKOMO, YATEKOMO").

I appreciate this kind of video - I always feel like I'm playing a version of Russian roulette when I select a ramen cup to try in Japan... buuuut I have to try them sometimes, because I don't know how long I'll get to be in Japan, and I'll be damned if I can't even talk about what the ramen was like. I have learned that the spicy ones usually kind of suck (and I like spicy food in general). I will look for the Thailand ones... Coffee? The Blend 114 - fight me. I've been here for about 6 months, and what I'd like to know/see is Uniqlo vs. Workman vs. Komeri vs. Aeon thermal underclothes the most, because I'm about to have to get some because I have long commutes that involve a lot of walking, and I live in Iwate.

As a culinary chef and expert on food I will tell you a bit more about the noodles that Connor mentioned. Soba is a buckwheat noodle that is distinctive for it's darker color then that of ramen. It is also healthier. Odon is a fatter noodle. Ramen is thin stringy and often times hand-pulled.

Honestly something I wish every youtuber did when they do these kinds of videos is make the video over several days like split it up 2-3 food items per days and then you cut it all in to one video. It means you don´t waste food if you it all up but also it makes you feel less sick.

I work at a restaurant as prep and I have to pack noodles ALOT and I have to say in terms of easiest to pack Soba is king. easy to deal with although if left in the fridge long enough it'll start clumping together and forming and ungodly Soba mass which needs to be broken up with oil and the back of your gloved hand. Although rice noodles are worse because if you leave those in the fridge long enough the flatness will make the noodles essentially weld together and any noodles sticking out of the tray lid become solid plastic like shards that are harder to break than steel.

It would be a better idea to divide this video into multiple parts, each part covers a different instant ramen theme, essentially making it a ramen tournament. Then the final round maybe where u compare the top ramens of each theme. Better for views and better for your stomach, idk

After this video I felt I should try some of my local ramen. Turns out most are shit, so I used Amazon to find better ramen. Surprise, surprise that was easy. Then I decided to look into some of the top ramen you rated and ordered the Curry Cup Noodles. Holy crap! That has to be one of the best ramen I've ever had! You can smell the flavor; its spice is mild enough to just tingle the tongue but not burn your mouth, and the potatoes add a burst of flavor. Thanks, Connor for the video. I would have never found this treasure of instant noodles if you hadn't done this video.
