I just learned this, by pushing Tab you can see the stats and also have a visual recap (sadly just visual, so it's not clear) of what statistic every weapon needs to evolve. This is very helpful especially now that we can't remember everything

That was so amazing to see you learning in real time :D I honestly felt giddy seeing it happen. Next step is going to be learning to plan your build so that you pick the right combination of abilities and stats that will allow you to evolve them, and learning the secondary stat boosters for each of the abilities.

you got the evolve, mechanic, time to step up your geame with the prefered stats. If you look at pillory strike, it evolves with max health, but improves with ability haste, size, and a few others. When you do a build, try getting abilities that evolve with something that improves other abilities. Hopefully it'll help !

Also, feel free to delete if this is too much backseating :) Especially since you seem to be maining Briar, there is a bug you should be aware of, among others: Briar Pillory is bugged, she can get a second Pillory either randomly or due to some bugged augment, and then she is unable to ult. Other Bugged Champs (are being addressed by Riot) Riven-dash is bugged that it can just stop doing damage (cutting off her main damage source) Jinx: sometimes after ulting, her movement is bugged and you can then only move with right-clicking, rather than WASD. Aurora Hex: unknown trigger, sometimes her hex will just disable in game and won't work the rest of the game. Leona Shield: E ability shield is bugged to not last the full duration.

Just my personal preference for Bullet Heavens: My pet strategy is always to try and create a bunch of overlapping AoE damage stuff centered on my character. It's always fun to just plow through everything wherever you walk haha. That's also when the enemies packing together like sardines becomes a good thing. Now, some more backseat gaming: A strat to consider if you get the passives and weapons that you want early in a run, prioritize getting even just Lvl. 1 of each desired stat or weapon, to fill up your available slots. That means EVERY level up after the slots are filled will only contain stats or weapons that you already have. That might work better in the easier mode, I don't know how well that translates to LoL Swarm specifically.

Good job, that was a lot of fun to watch 👍, one more thing is holding tab will pop up a cheat sheat in the upper left that tells you what evolves with what.

Since everyone else is providing tips specifically for this game, it can make you feel like you're pretty deep in the weeds. So I figured I'd give a more general perspective, in case it helps or you end up trying out other Bullet Heaven/Survivor games. (you can ignore this if you want)((also fun video)) [tldr: map awareness, passives + multiple weapons, read everything then exploit what they do not what they say] 1. Basic shit Because of how these games are set up, a few stats pop up as safe choices to invest in. Exp/Gold, it helps you get more stuff. Move speed, to avoid shit. Projectile Count/Haste, put more pews in your pews depending on the weapon. Area, it's a BULLET HEAVEN, fill the screen you wuss. [insert tank stat here], you have to survive and the specific stat's effectiveness is going to vary depending on the game. Get the objectives, despite the goal being to let the game play itself the devs don't usually want that to actually happen. 2. Combos and Efficiency You already know about the ones in this game. But in most Bullet Heaven games the weapons evolve/transform. Usually with a corresponding Passive or 2 weapons merging, maybe a stat threshold, etc. And since you have limited slots you want to try and cover as many weapons as you can, this will lower the RNG required to max out your build and give you some wiggle room to improvise with the other slots. 3. Cheese it! A common theme in these games is going to revolve around exponential growth. The reason people suggest going for Pick Up radius or Extra EXP is because they'll stack on themselves. +Exp > faster leveling > +Exp upgrades > faster leveling > etc. But this is also true for the other stats and their weapons. I'll use the Cyclonic Slicers(the blades that spin around you) as an example. Even though they are stronger with Regen, they are also considered "Projectiles", are casted and have a duration. So Projectile Count, Haste and Duration all effect them. And if we see how they act when we up those stats, we can start to cheese more damage out of them. Leona's passive increases all her weapons/abilities Area based off of her Defensive stats. If we were to grab the Cyclonic Slicers, since we want the Regen passive anyway, then they'll get bigger. Add in a Projectile Count passive, then they're suddenly overlapping. OR Illaoi has good Regen with her passive and wants Duration for her weapons, so depending on how the game is coded, you could get Haste and start "casting" the next set of them before they've run out. Essentially negating your need for the Regen upgrade or evolving them (perhaps even not wanting to evolve them because having 2 instances of Cyclonic Slicers out at the same time is more damage).

EXP is good early game as it accelerates your levels by definition. It's less and less good later on when you can expect fewer level ups to manifest. It's like Doran's items and Health pots in League, great early, okay mid, bad late.

Can anyone verify this? Not sure if it's coded in or a coincidence, but I've noticed that my augments (weapons and skills) tend to appear more frequently aligning with the stat-augments that I selected. That is, despite Leona scaling with HP and Armor, I went 1 game where I went MS, HP, Duration, and therefore got 3 weapons scaling with Duration and MS, and only 1 HP scaling weapon.

I will say this, you generally want to get weapons first before the stats because you can choose what weapons you want to evolve and what to just keep it normal.

Good stuff! You definitely got it towards the end! And you definitely had a good skill setup as well in that run. Only thing I'd change is replace damage with cooldown. I still think cooldown is super good. Also, I don't think swipe "scales" with health, it just evolves with health. As in, having more max health doesn't benefit you (outside of having more max health, and maybe the passive scales with it), you only need to have lv1 max health shard. Also, now that you're getting it, wouldn't mind seeing the other champions a few times as well :D Most importantly though, keep having fun!

honestly, i tried this mode after seeing your video, and i really hope Riot does something with this, that's a really good game! BTW your video was pretty cool to watch so if you like this mode i'd watch them personnally!

It's fine if you pick up projectile shooting weapons. But going for the projectile count increase is suboptimal as you need other weapons that scale with health more

I's always funny seeing people realizing you get good at these kinda games by reading and doing math and not just micro movement. Where you gonna micro move to when the whole screen is enemies

Please press Tab when you are playing it will make it much easier to for you to know what you need to evolve your weapons. You dont need to evolve everything but you should have the plan to upgrade as much as you can.

And that free pick up radius lets u stay safer picking up exp as melee or ranged

If you want more advice, you should spend your early game getting in the enemy's faces instead of kinda just wandering around. Every thing you can kill gives you xp and causes more to spawn (meaning more xp), and the stuff you don't kill won't, so while you're walking around avoiding being hit you are 'falling behind'. This will get you ahead of the damage curve.

So it mainly about look at what your weapons need to upgrade ...and trying to plan which passives they want to give u the stars u want plus the right weapons

Again, feel free to delete if you don't like this backseating/explanation: Related to Stats and Augment Evolutions. Especially when you have maxed your augment slots, stats become even more important. As you have limited stat slots, you want to prioritize stats that evolve your weapons. On the augment screen, Weapons options that are evolved by a stat you have, will show that Stat Icon beneath the Weapon selection. The converse is also true for stats and weapons. If you have a weapon, and you are choosing a stat augment, if one of your weapons can be evolved by the stat, the stat augment will show that weapon's icon beneath it. Example: at 25:33 you chose health regen, and you had that tri-disc weapon, which is evolved by health regen, so beneath the health regen stat augment, your weapon is shown. Meanwhile, while Ability Haste may have helped you, none of your weapons or skills scaled with Haste, so purely from an evolution standpoint, Health Regen was a better choice than Ability Haste.
