I use SUSE since it came out in the last century and for me its the distro where "most things work most of the time". There is even a special gaming spinoff.

Nice to see that you're enjoying your Linux journey. There are some GUI apps to manage packages like Octopi and Bauh. I haven't tested them personally, but they could be good. Also, there are equivalent commands like 'apt autoremove' from Debian for Arch that automatically remove unnecessary dependencies.

I believe this guy's linux journey helps new people understand linux better..

The good thing about linux is that if you dont like a distro, you dont have to stick with it, there's a lot of distros and people can use whichever likes more or which fit more whatever they wanna do with the system. but yea, "I (kinda) use arch btw" (I'm actually an EndeavourOS user) nice video!

It is true that uninstalling things can be difficult in Linux. Though if you are using snap, flatpak or appimage packages it is quite easy. But uninstalling other packages/applications is hard. Desktop environments such as KDE come with a lot of packages and dependencies, and it later gets hard to figure out what to uninstall and how.

The easiest way to clean the disk in order to create new partitions from scratch is to just destroy the partition table and create a new one. Then all existing partitions will be gone.

I don't recall if the Gnome Software Center package on Arch is integrated well but it can be used for managing Flatpaks if you enable support.

i use Gnome Disk and Gparted for partition.

For gui arch package managers - use Octopi or Pamac or Bauh.

KDE is just Desktop Environment , there is nothing in Linux that you want u can’t find , there are hell lots of plugin . I use arch with Qtile . I had nothing before I customised it the way I want

lol. I also misread the guide and forgot to install network manager. but as long as you have your bootable disk handy, it shouldn't be a full reinstall, you just need to pacstrap everything you forgot.

Easier way to install arch Linux is to use endeavour os or cachy os.
