It is possible to play and charging at the same time. You just have to stay pressed on the power button for several seconds. Or just turn on the console and plug in afterwards. I play at the same time very often

One thing to keep in mind with thr miyoo mini. It's VERY fragile. I've seen so many busted screens and it's from the slightest drop, even onto soft surfaces. Seems very extreme. I have had one for several months and have put close to 100 hours on it. I live my miyoo, so much that when i heard they're discontinuing it(parts shortages since they're using old blackberry 9900 screens) I ordered a second one. But I will be using some of my other handhelds because I'm afraid of dropping it! I'll definitely be picking up the landscaped v2 when it comes out. Thanks for the vid. Keep up the good work. Level Select I love my Miyoo Mini. I've created 6 custom boot screens, a shut down screen (though i guess you can use the boot screen for that if someone wanted) and a charging screen! Ninja 5-0 for the gba is amazing. It's like Bionic Commando meets ninjas. Also been playing through the MegaMan Battle Network games. Just finished 1 last night and started 2 today!

I have my Powkiddy V90 for 2 years now. Still rocking perfectly for my retro-gaming-on-the-go needs :) few times dropped from staircases and proven super sturdy (aside from scratches on its outer cases).

Great review! A bit behind on the portables but the Miyoo Mini looks like a great option. (also love the use of Gamechops lofi)

Level Select Terranigma (SNES), Metroid Fusion (GBA), Sonic 3 (GENESIS), Pokémon Emerald (GBA), Fire Emblem (GBA) and SNK vs. Capcom (NGP) are my go-to games for my Anbernic RG351P. Planning on "upgrading" to a Miyoo Mini in a few weeks. Fantastic video!

Level select. This is a great device for what its intended for. My phone has doubled as a (limited) gaming phone for years. So its just not practical for me to always have another device in my pocket. I am waiting on a rp2+ and rg351v. Im pretty positive the rg351v will always be in one of my daily carry bags and it can always fit in a cargo pocket if needed. A quick easy to access, pre set up device. The rp2+ will be my dedicated home device. And, its a great starter for learning the ins and outs of this type of gaming. After i get a new laptop and have it set up, ill likely be upgrading devices also to something stronger for daily carry. And pass these 2 devices to my kids. My new laptop will then be my main device for home. And from there, it will likely be a rinse and repeat process forever. Lol. Great video! Thanks!

I would love to have a Miyoo Mini, the old one just like yours(and just like you because of the removable batt) but even the newer Miyoo Mini with the larger batt isn't available anymore. I just wish they would bring back the removable batt in when the Miyoo Mini goes on sale again.

Ayyy WipeOut rep Not that I'd play WipeOut without an analogue stick There ARE grips for it now, KeepRetro has some. The v2 battery is still replaceable, it just takes *slightly* more work, and in return you're actually getting a much more common battery format.

I wanted to buy one of these but finding one for a reasonable price is impossible now.

It's a unique and a cool looking device but I also play DOS and SCUMMV games and my 1st device is the RG351P. I need the dual joysticks for those DOS,SCUMMV and ports for a more comfortable control layout.

I love my Miyoo Mini but it literally has never left my house. The portability of the console isn't a feature I take advantage of 😅 PS - I use MiniUI and mostly just play Pokemon and Final Fantasy.

If you get slowdown use a different emulator core (usually it's an arcade game thing like GunForce 2 should be run with FBNeo 2012.) I've found that a lot of games will actually perform well if you just choose the right emulator. Sega Saturn games will not work well though alas. I've recently gone and upgraded to the RG351V. That Wifi is so nice. Though it's not one to fit in a pocket like the mini the extra beefyness and power is a good trade. I could probably recommend a game for every system on the RG351V. Though I've tried to avoid a few that have been mentioned in other comments.

Does anyone know if this could play DOS games? Specifically Harvester or Phantasmagoria

The screen is too small. I just use retro arch on my MacBook with a DualShock 4 and it has a keyboard so I could use with the c64 emulator too. And it is still very portable. On top of that I don’t think the little keypad on the miyoo would be as durable as the ps4 controller.
