That sounds fun! I've never tried any sort of color season analysis, but I know that paying attention to my skin color and undertones over the past several years has definitely changed what I wear/buy regarding clothing, jewelry, make up etc. It was key in being able to differentiate what I like versus what I would actually reach for/use. For example, I have a medium brown skin tone and golden olive undertones. Bright, saturated colors only look good on me in the summer when I'm at my warmest and most saturated, they wash me out other times of year. Desaturated colors of similar depth or deeper (rust vs. bright orange, teal vs. royal blue, olive vs. Kelly green) make my face pop. Pink really brings out the green tones in my skin and make me look sallow, saturated golden/olive fabrics compete with my undertone and make me look more neutral and washed out. But pastel blues make me look warmer/brighter. I don’t know if warm/grungy fall tones + desaturated blue is a color season, but knowing other things about color theory (complementary colors, value and saturation) has helped me a lot. I wonder if your glasses changes the overall contrast of your look? The black frames against your skin are much higher contrast than your eyes vs. skin, for example. Or like, someone could have a dark hair color but thin eyebrows/lashes, and I would assume their contrast is much lower than someone with the same hair color but thicker brows/lashes.

So interesting to take into account summer skin tone vs winter. Also glasses! I bet if I had clear or thinner frames it would be lower contrast and the black ones probably increase my contrast. I suppose you could also increase or decrease your contrast with hair color changes too. Fun to consider, thanks for your feedback :)

I found this really interesting. I had my colours done 7 years and it’s been the best thing I could do for myself. I got stuck in a rut after my daughter was born and with a new body shape and gloomy wardrobe I really didn’t feel like myself. I’m a deep vibrant Autumn which is worlds away from the wardrobe I was wearing. I wore very little colour and would never dream of clashing colours. I always used to throw clothes on, look in the mirror and say “Oh that will do” which wasn’t good for my confidents. Discovering your true/best colours is a wonderful thing.

I completely agree, you feel so much more confident when you wear colors that bring out your features. I can also relate to struggling to find your style after having a baby and new body shape. I started sewing my own clothes after having two, and it’s done wonders for my self confidence. Thanks for watching :)

I went to a “color season” party in the 80s…long long time ago! Was coded as a winter. That worked really well for me then. Now that my hair is silver I’ve wondered if it still applies. Thanks for the information. Technology has changed everything, I’ll have to give this a try. ❤️

So fun : ) I'm glad that as a trend color analysis has returned, because it really is super helpful. I wonder if your season would be the same with silver hair? Could be that your contrast is less? Very fun to try with technology I hope you do.

I had my colours done about 3 years ago and it was a total game changer. I thought I was an autumn and dressed accordingly. Turns out I'm a true summer, which shocked me. I thought they'd got it wrong, but no. It's crazy how much positive feedback I've received both from people who know me as well as total strangers, since wearing my season. So weird! I'm a total advocate now. It's so fun. Interesting chatgpt process. I'd never have thought to do that! I'll add that to my spiel ;) Thank you for sharing.

@@Rebecca_Good Actually, I tried just giving it a photo of myself, skipping the color picker tool step. It was able to do it. Sometimes it said I was a soft summer, sometimes a cool summer. Very helpful anyways.

With your coloring, I would stay away from black right near your face. I think only those in the winter color season (predominantly dark winters) can wear black the best because it it is so high contrast. I use to stay away from black near my face because I thought it was too boring and I love color! But after finding out I’m a dark winter who can wear black well, I’ve added it into my wardrobe. Of course, anyone can wear any color they like, but as you get older, you find that it pays to stick with colors that don’t wash you out or enhance shadows. Loving your content!

I believe it suggested a dark charcoal grey in place of a black. Something to consider for sure, I do love black but might consider choosing more dark navy or grey near my face. Thanks so much for watching and for your feedback!
