For directional. All you have to do is basically put it in one spot and hold it there. That's mainly where the ball will go if contact is made

I use directional. I also use zone but i use directional a lot lol it's not horrible. The arrows are used for the direction of the ball. But you have to time it well. For example if the pitch is on the edge of the zone you use the arrow to drive the ball towards that direction. The up arrow is to elevate the ball, depending on the hitters overall of course. In practice mode if you go to "batting control" you get better understanding of directional. It does have it's disadvantages similar to zone to zone. Still cool though. Both hitting types have its pros and cons. The worst hitting option is Timing. You have to use the analog stick to do a leg kick, it's really weird.

Ideas: you and Adam play each other with varying team builds. You and Adam pitch and hit together, one doing each, like you’ve done before. You and Adam do a BR draft together, switching who picks every other round, and then team hit and pitch on the BR run, too.

I used to use directional hitting all the time. All you have to do is time the pitch and based off the persons stats, they will hit the ball the pci is random.

I use it all the time. You don’t aim your pci. You pick the direction you want to try and hit the ball. It’s really not hard. It’s easy!

Directional is classic. It’s the way mlb the show was in the 90s. It’s easier with pci. Directional you have to have timing

If i had to rank the MLB the Show youtubers I would say Littleman would probably be #1 as his PCI control is mutant like. Adam Samuels, Kyle, Schenn up there too.

I was getting the worst outcomes with my pci the other night on legend switched to directional in bottom of the ninth and trout hit a Perfect perfect nuke to left 115 off the bat first pitch😂

You have to think to use directional. I win all the time using it. If you think the pitch will be inside and aim in , you will crush the ball.The game will show you where you are swinging , you just don’t have the settings right.

Challenge: Give your opponent a 5 run head start then comeback and win the game. Doesn’t matter how you do it you just can’t start scoring runs until the opponent has scored 5.

Try Again but only do upper left for righties and upper right for lefties. I did directional a lot last year. It's basically the direction you want to hit the ball. I went boom or bust and kept my arrow up and in or up and away... so only going to push or pull fly balls. If the pitch doesn't end up in the direction you're focusing on but have good/ok timing, you're going to have really weak contact and will probably be out. I never pointed my arrow down because even if they throw it down, at best you're getting a hard hit line drive. It's really just timing and situational. If Juan Soto is up and they have the obnoxious shift on, you can just point away for a cheesy double. Or if you just want to go for dingers only, stay up and in or up and away. You're gonna have low averages but a high % of your hits are gonna be outs. Last year my guys would be batting like .230 with like 55 dingers and 63 hits lol.
