I use S-curl all the time, and its very moisturizing to my hair. It does feel sticky for the 1st day, but the stickiness goes away.

Yes. The first day had me nervous. I was thinking of washing it out after I recorded the video but happy I didn’t ! It defines the curls ... it is worth the first day stickiness lol

@@sherryarnold9419 Oh, I can't give up. This is the strongest and most moisturized my hair has felt since I went natural in 2008. I'll take the sticky before I switch lol. Some ppl have put another gel on top like ecostyler and that helped. I'm allergic so trying to find alternatives

I used the "lite" version...no stickiness nor is it greasy. Makes me want to throw out all my other products because to have frizz free hair with crazy definition in the Florida hear..speaks volume about this product paired with Wetline Extreme gel.

👋👋 watched your video & bought the spray version. used it generously on my damp hair (my fade has turned into a micro-fro...because quarantine) and liked the definition and non-dry look. it left my hair sticky, as to be expected, but two nights in my bonnet got it to where i could touch it again without needing to wash my hands. 🙌 when i sponged it a couple of days later - that’s when things got cute!! thanks sis!

You are so pretty and your wash and go looks nice but other videos suggest soaking the hair with water first and then adding the products. It also recommends not combing but shaking the hair once all the products are in. This process gives better curl definition and less shrinkage.

I use this spray (every other day) without any other product (3C hair). Hair is moisturized, not sticky, less shrinkage. A little goes a long way. Shedding has stopped and it has grown! Use softee curl activator on opposite days. I wash my hair once a week.

It's the activator gel that is sticky. I use the curl activator moisturizer all the time. It has glycerin in it and I noticed after 3 days of daily spray. I don't need to moisturize for a while. My hair drinks it up the first few days. I also use a liquor gel to hold curls if I'm planning to where the style longer than the weekend. Thanks for sharing

I found a similar issue with another styler i use with eco styler ... the styler has glycerin as the first ingredient n s-curl does too its the reason why its slightly sticky ... just add a bit more gel each time ... if you add more gel it gets rid of stickyness but just do a little at a time so you wont make it crunchy ... your hair came out great!!!

I did mine today and I was stupid impressed I also used the lusters pink moisturizer (note of back of label) and eco style gel my hair has no crunch and it looks and feels freakin amazing.

@@barikibodycare I bought is few months ago but didn't use it until two days ago. I was using all the "new" curl enhancing products and disappointed in them. So, I tried S Curl. Now, we used this "back in the day." It's been around forever and now I see why. It turned my natural 'fro soft and silky with just combing it through. I can imagine if I took the time to apply it directly to smaller parts. But I'm satisfied; I'm easy. The cost is phenomenal. Some of the newer products cost upwards of $100 or more. No way! I'm all for S Curl!!

I used S-curl Texturizing Stylin spray on wet hair (grey bottle) and then sprayed my hair with S-curl Curl Activator Moisturizer (white bottle) after the hair was almost dry. My hair dried completely but isn't hard, at all. I love both products because my hair has never felt so good. Now as for a wash and go I will have to get back to you on that part.

@@MissAvrel2686 I used S - Curl Texturizing styling spray from the bottle and then applied the Texturizing styling gel by combing each through my hair while it was still wet. I ended up with an afro as the wash and go hairstyle. I could still pick my hair out easily after it dried.

Your hair looks great! I can relate to the sticky issue because I've been using Hawaiian Silky which moisturizes and defines my curls, but leaves it sticky. Curl creams don't define or shine so I'm still testing other products.

I have heard users complain about the stickiness. But the sticky feeling on my hands washed away. My hair never felt sticky. This stuff curled parts of my hair that usually need extra attention. I luv this stuff.

I use this but at night. I roll my hair with satin rollers. I septate curls with my fingers or a pick the next day. Dry and not sticky this way.

Hey. First off thanks so much for watching. Honestly I am not sure either. I so believe the gel will just always have a stronger hold which is why everyone tends to use the gel over the moisturizer. I think the moisturizer is more for reapplying when the hair may dry out. But this is not a fact just the reason I use the wave gel. 🤎

It turned out good. I actually kept it longer than I planned because I had to record another video... the results was good that I kept it two extra days. I believe I did not have to spray it with a little water until about the 3rd day just to help me fluff it out a bit more than it was ! But I loved it ! Thanks for watching !!!! ❤️

I have a Jheri curl it’s good for perms and works well on a natural hair. I recently saw a video of a woman with 4C hair and it worked. You should try it! It’s inexpensive. It works !

Hey 👋🏾 ... that night I actually slept with my hair in a “pineapple “ for the first time ! So removing my scarf the next morning my hair was even better than the first day ! My hair was less sticky ! And it was super shiny and the curls were poppin ! Lol. I actually was going to wash it out to record another video but the results were so good I kept it in for 3 days ! And it still did not have to come out! Only did because I had to. So the night routine was good. Normally i do the five ponytails for nighttime but i tried the pineapple and it worked ... And my curls was still intact the next day. Also, I did spray it with a little bit of the activator as well....

Char S yes I’ve tried As I Am a while back and my hair did not react to it the way I like .... but yes ! Try this method I am definitely going to add it to my wash n go routine. Finding the gel was hard it was sold out in almost all my local stores I actually found mine in the supermarket lol good luck and let me know how it turns out !!!

Everyone who used this and had great results all used Xtreme Wet or Eco. The S Curl alone is not enough. I will be doing mine on my Birthday this Thursday.

Yea. After I realized the definition was fully there without Wetline I had to add it. I was told my hair should’ve been more wet so I’ll prolly do a video doing it that way ... but .... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🎁🎉🎊🎈🎂

I did mine today and I'm OBSESSED. I will no longer buy expensive products again. I used a Leave in Conditioner, Garnier Sleek and shine, S Curl activator and Xtreme Wet gel. Love it.

How long did it take to dry and did you let it air dry or heat?

I did air dry but then used the blow dryer to stretch the roots and help it out after about 2 hours of air drying. Thanks so much for watching 🤎

Check the ingredients if contains DMDM hydantoin, can cause hair loss. I just threw out of my products that had this!!!

I actually did not until the next day just to help to stretch it .... the results was from air drying outside. That day it was like 80 degrees!

I Air dried only because I was running errands and it was a hot day so it helped ..... I did a light blow dry on the roots to kind of stretch the hair the next day for length.

It felt more sticky than greasy to me ... after the second day it was completely okay. My hair was very moisturized but wasn’t too much for me! Thank you so much for watching ❤️

Hey hey .... so I was not able to keep this particular wash and go in longer than 2 or 3 days only because I had to record another hair product in that same week. But I plan on recording another vid to see if my hair will react the same way to the scurl being that I recently cut my hair ! I do think it would last as long as a normal wash and go which is like a week for me. Thanks so much for watching 🤎

Thanks for the information about it being too sticky, however I am not sure that I can take your video to heart considering you used the Wetline gel to over power the S Curl gel. Thanks for posting anyway.

It was no need to add wet line , that s curl gel works , you was not putting enough on your hair , and you hair should have been a little more wet , I’m not natural but I use that gel to slick my hair down , That S CURL GEL WORKS , it’s THICK THO and STICKY

Home With A Naturalista yeah that S CURL GEL WORKS PUT MORE IN YR HAIR and leave it a little more wet , I don’t know if you going to like the sticky feeling tho , what I have found out is that , when I use it on the 2 day I still have a lot of the product in my hair , so I don’t need much more and the s curl spray that you got it DO PUT MOISTURE IN YOUR HAIR . Your hair still came out cute tho 🙃🙃👀

Yea the sticky is something to get used to but the 2nd day my curls looked even better lol so I think I’ll be able to suck it up. My hair was super moisturized and shiny .... and the curls were like Bam 💥. Yes I will definitely try your routine THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!! I’ll keep u updated !

So im doing this tonight, do i wrap my haor with a head scarf and then do this again in the morning? I have the s curl wave gel activator but i dont have the other one so can i just water to help the curls, i have a softnfree curl activator lotion just incase

The gel you use with SCurl changes the definition and the feel of it. Try changing the gel using with it or if you love your gel...try using a little less.

@@MissAvrel2686 My hair is barely wavy. I started watching the SCurl to try to find a way to give my 90 year old mother a boost to her natural curls because she hasn't been able to get her done at the hair dresser. :) I've been having a grand time watching all the curly hair videos. :)

I actually pulled all my hair to the top of my head to do a high ponytail ( aka a pineapple).... and wrapped the sides with a silk scarf ..... I think because my hair is growing I was able to do so because that was my first time. Otherwise I normally section my hair off into 5 sections with my wash and gos to help preserve the curls ....

Bianca Johnson HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!!!!! 🎉🎊❤️🎈🎂🎁 ..... honestly either way is cool. For my for this specific style I did put it in a high pineapple on the top of my head for the 3 days I had it in..... the 5 sections is easier but I think the pineapple saves more curls and then u won’t have those dents the 5 sections causes. Cause for me usually the 5 sections I have to kind of blow dry the roots to get the dent out ... the pineapple doesn’t cause that. So that’s what I would do ! Enjoy your bday love ❤️

Bianca Johnson I would do it tonight cause if anything u can always fix it tomorrow but at least the long part will be over. If u know u going to be when ur hair is till wet then wait til tomorrow cause u don’t wanna go to bed with wet hair cause those curls will be crushed lol
