Somehow I feel like you're describing a Tamaraw. It's a mythical creature well known in the Visayas region of the Philippines. They're basically all white skeletal looking creatures that are born from dead trees. They're considered the gaurdians of the forest, they're not evil but if you steal anything from them like a tree bark from where they are born to the colorful pebbles near they're area. They will not rest until they hunt you down and take you away. Some say they have faces, some say they only black mouths with long sharp teeths, no eyes but can see. They're bigger than most creatures and are mostly peaceful aslong as you don't disturb them. In the province where there's alot of trees. As a kid I remember whenever there's a festival my grandma would take me to this broken tree bark with no leaves or branches. She told me a family of Tamaraws live there and gave them food often times she would talk to them for protection.

But its there which we have lived, where man had lived for 100s of years. Why stay out? It nurtures man perfectly fine, a place better for a man than what man creates specifically to inhabit even with nature being in mind, even knowing the benefits, even knowing how nurturing it can be.

Hey! I’ve noticed you reply to comments occasionally so if you don’t mind I have some questions for you. How do you pick your stories? Why did you start narrating? Hi Twelve! I have a process I use to pick the best stories. Lots of reading involved. Started narrating because someone in my family said I had a good voice for this. I do have some formal training yes. Yes typically my favorite stories are bittersweet. I really liked the hotel one. I like the Voodoo shop one too. (those come to mind). Jack Forester I also really liked. Bittersweet is my favorite. Thanks for the interest! -Stephen

We have a trail camera. Mostly we get pictures of our cats, hens, ducks. The occasional raccoon, fox, lots of deer, and rarely a coyote. Sometimes there will be a picture with nothing and we spend 10 minutes trying to figure out what tripped the camera. Usually we see a cats tail in the bottom of the frame, but sometimes there's absolutely nothing. Those are creepy...we start to joke about monsters in our woods. The best picture tho was a very very close shot of my cats nostrils. Took a minute to figure our wtf that was lol!

Great story. Like the guy in the story, I would never go back in the woods ever again if I'd witnessed something coming out of the burl on that tree. I would've collected my camera and waited until I was safe at home to look at the footage. I would keep it to myself because no one would believe it was real. I'd also be afraid of some shadowy government agency to come and confiscate my trail cam and the footage, along with warning me never to speak of it.
