@The-local-Karen A little tip (but you can ignore it tho): He's a crazy character. But you can decide what kind of crazy. Like there isn't just one crazy way to play him. People love new and refreshing adaptations with a new twist. You can add your own kind of craziness and make the character yours. Like a little gesture or speech pattern that stands out or the way he walks. Something to make him truly yours. The mad hatter is such a fun role. Because you have so many possibilities. Don't get intimidated by the role. And don't think you have to copy the Disney version or Johnny Depp's version. Make your own version and embrace it. :)

I love how in that scene, it seems like the mad hatter was subtly insulting the queen of hearts, keeping his crazy on, and hinting that he knows Alice with that "mmmAlice". I enjoy layered meaning like that and this cosplay looks stunning.

Sure, Johnny does great character acting- he’s a one trick pony and it’s what he’s good at. It would be nice if he just wasn’t EVERY odd character in every major movie. At this point he’s overplayed and I won’t see a movie if he’s in it- and I so hope they give more actors the chance to do these fun roles.

@@darx8419 It’s called type casting. Casting director cast people mostly based on their past preferences and what they’re good at. Like Helena Carter playing the dark characters, Rebel Wilson as the comedic relief, Tom Cruise as the action star, or Anya Joy in period films

Fabulous costume! Have you thought of adding the bright orange eyeliner which is a symptom of heavy mercury poisoning that was endemic to milliners in Alice's time period? They would brush the wool felt of hats with mercury to make the material shine.

Honestly your cosplay is always so good, but your FACIAL EXPRESSIONS are the best part of your videos. They are always so on point for the characters!! Love this Mad Hatter in particular. The purple hair is so unique and the fall colors are gorgeous

Where’s this version of Hatter from? Or is it your own interpretation? And a little funfact: In the German dub, they added "Missetat“. It’s part of "Missetat begannen“, which is the German equivalent to "Mischief managed“, hinting at Helena‘s role in the Harry Potter universe.^^
