Joan Crawford was a really cool lady and a brilliant actress, the movie that they mentioned "Strait-Jacket" just came out on blu-ray with her other film "Berserk!". The other lady shown in the video from the QB movie with Joan and the lovely Betsy Palmer is the actress Lucy Marlow. Ms. Marlow will celebrate her 86th birthday next week.

The studio techs forgot to turn up the volume on everything but the sax. That happened occasionally on Ed Sullivan's show as well.
