the burn does affect the melee defense moves because like pokemon, burn cuts the base power of the move by half, not the stat of the loomian. since body crash and battering ram have base powers, their damage is calculated after burns base power drop.

burn does affect body crash and battering ram as it halves the moves power and not your Matk. This is the same in pokemon
