Hello everyone This time I want to remake the old axe into an axe stylized with a copper dragon, which can be used, as in the old days, to chop and destroy ...))) After tinkering with it, I got a good converted axe with a beautiful drawn pattern with dragons, I also added a pattern to the Scandinavian motif of the axe. How do you like my work?
I took an old 1956 axe as the basis for my new axe, the axe was in good condition, but I didn't like its geometry, which I had to align. To this axe I decided to betray the form of the Old Russian axe of the period of the 12th-13th century, which I did. Cut off unnecessary metal. Cleaned and sanded. When the blank was prepared, I decided to put an image on it on the theme of dragons. After electrochemical etching of the drawing, I blackened the metal by the blackening method. After that, I made the copper plating of the drawing. When these works were completed, it was left to grind with fine-grained sandpaper and polish the restored axe. I was satisfied with the result of this work and I hope you also liked it.
I used the following tools and materials: pencil, ruler, awl, angle grinder, drill, grinder, orbital grinder, sandpaper, toothbrush, soda, solvent.
