This was painful to watch,I grew up in Benin city,Ramat Park,Ikpoba Hill,Airport Road,Ring Road all look despicable and dilapidated now. The fact that your cousin(just like most home based Nigerians)set the standards so low for their politicians is just disheartening.

@originaldelta, seeing Ramat Park in ruins broke my heart💔 I have such fun memories playing up in that park as a kid! All the politicians do is steal and owe salaries to the poor civil servants. Yet someone in my comments section said I am constantly negative about Nigeria🤷🏽‍♀️🙄

I was born, raised and educated there in Benin City. Apart from the general challenges of Nigeria as an entity. One major challenge in Benin and Edo in general is that with all the money Edos in Diaspora send home monthly which is one of the highest in Nigeria, many members squander the money sent home by their Diaspora relatives. They don't utilise the money to invest or for economic empowerment rather, they love to live large and flex in beer parlour and pepper soup joints in Benin. If the billions of dollars entering Edo state monthly were economically untilised over the last 30 years, Edo and particularly Benin will booming.

Typical Ghanaian. Always look for every way to talk bad about Nigeria. She showed one city in Nigeria and you ran away with that like Ghana is an advanced country compared to Nigeria. Your sarcasm was detected. Nigerians don't need your prayers. Ghana, like many other African countries, including Nigeria, needs prayers. If you want to make a change, take a look at the mirror.

There's also another side to Nigerians. I was privileged to bless someone with an 18 seater bus. It was a bus brought in from Germany. I paid for it to be turned into a Lagos state bus. I paid for all registration and everything needed. All he had to do was return my cost over a period of time . To help him I told him to choose his own terms himself. Unfortunately he became dodgy and I had to give up on collecting my full cost. I gave him the bus and within a year he destroyed it. Then he went back to square one. Yes something wrong but there's more wrong with the people than the government. Whenever there's an opportunity I like to look for someone to give in Nga and this week another messed up because he was trying to cut corners.

Gossip dey Nigerian churches in Nigeria well well. And as for begging inside and outside church gates/premises it's very normal in Nigeria 🇳🇬. One thing we observed when we visited is that some people wash cars 🚗 (outside the church gates) for people who attend church on Sunday, we were shocked 😳 but also marveled at how Industrious some Nigerians are!!!!

My sister this is the most thought provoking video you have made and I appreciate you. This video is a patriotic presentation and a clarion call for Nigerians abroad to work in synergy and force out the greedy and selfish politicians destroying our country. I was angry all through my stay as a result of backwardness these thieves in government have brought on Nigeria. For those of you who live abroad that help these thieves in government to buy properties, vehicles and money laundering, be informed that you're equally guilty of the destruction of our country and God will punish all of you along with the thieves.

That is what Nigeria has deteriorated to, the rate of begging is alarming. My last visit was like that, people walk up and ask for help just to eat. I was in church with my mum and I overheard a woman talking to someone that there are days she and the children go to bed hungry. I had to call her aside and give her some money. May God help us all.

Hey Lady B, how you doin? Welcome back to the U.K. I just got back to the USA from Benin City. I went to my momnin law's burial. We stayed in our personal private home and had over 600 people show up for the family rites and burial ceremony. Thank God nothing bad happened..we even stayed back for another 3 weeks after the burial. Everyone knew we came back from the states. It's okay to be careful and all, but it's not as horrible as we hear abroad. Before we left for the burial our friends were scared for our safety as well but Thank God 🙏 all went well.

Thanks for the vlog. Let appreciate the fact that you didn't go there in the peak of the rainy season for at least you could still drive on earth roads and didn't require a duck boat. In Naija you are unavoidably programmed to be on the OYO mode i.e your are "On Your Own" Government gives you nothing but takes from you. Churches gives you nothing but takes from you. Being educated makes you nobody but takes from you except for a few who are lucky enough to access influence. People build their houses with high fence for security sake in Benin, sink their borehole to get water, install solar panels if they are able to afford it or subscribe to generator or better still sleep in the dark and endure mosquito bites in the heat of the weather if they don't want to sleep in a noisy environment at night with an additional risk factor of robbers showing up at their houses without they noticing and or if they cannot afford fuel in your generator. Everything is just crazy but even at that we know to a large extent the rich and powerful who fly out without restrictions have little or no problem living in naija except for fear of kidnappers. Dis life no balance.

The last time I went to Naija. Everybody I met in church had an horror story. It was so sad. I did not go the next Sunday because the amount I spent the first Sunday I went was too much. And if you give them a substandard amount, they look at you like you wicked. Me I cannot come and kill myself.

Then use your weekend and/or vacation to plant cassava. Make your own garri!!! Grow vegetables. Yes, many, many unused ancestral lands in Nigeria. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going!!! Every job is honorable. White collar jobs are gone for good.Especially Benin. They have a lot of fertile land/forests. Let's work with what we have!!!

I just came back from Benin city a little less than a month ago. Benin City is the capital and largest city of Edo State in southern Nigeria. They are building the road and sewers. In 2023 they're supposed to be a Benin city mall coming up. Praying that this helps some with employment for whoever wants to work.

Hi Obodoyibo tv. Thanks a lot for the video you did about your trip to Benin. I sincerely felt as if l was the one in Benin because incidentally l am from there. I like how you took flight to avoid the incidents travellers normally encountered on the roads. So far, the only thing you did not tell us is which of these flights can be trusted and their fares.Once again thanks alot for the good job you are doing and may God continue to bless you Amen.
