Most definitely an amazing event! These days, you don't often find a manufacturer who is willing to take the blinders off, and show you the whole process, especially to a group of people who are so in touch with the product. It's also nice to see you out and about! We all miss the days of seeing more frequent videos from you, but we also understand the necessities of a growing family. The early years pass so quickly, and if you miss them, you'll never forgive yourself. So, enjoy your young family, and give us a video, maybe once a month?!? Before you know it, the kids are going to be shining shoes!!

What an incredible fun filled weekend we had. Enjoyed every minute of it. It was great to see everyone. Nice job Preston we really need to work on setting up another event with the AEE members. I had a great Time even if I was wearing my Alden’s.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks so much for the fantastic video, Preston. I felt a flood of memories and emotions just watching it. It wad a mind blowing experience from beginning to end and to finally meet all of the members we have been interacting with for years. I have been on many business trips and junkets but never one like this so full of friendship, camaraderie, fun and love for the moment, the subject and the occasion. And a special shout out and thanks to Allen Edmonds for hosting such a grand affair.! Who knew Alex had a voice like that. Looking forward to the next gathering.!

Awesome channel! I recently was able to purchase my first pair of Allen Edmonds. I wanted to make an effort to take care the most expensive pair of shoes I've ever owned. I'm sure for many professionals, it's a more normal occasion, but I've only recently been able to buy such a nice pair of dress shoes for work & evenings out. I appreciate the effort and time you put into your channel!

Love your videos Preston! Very jealous, I love my allen edmonds shoes! Is it possible to do a video on shining green shoes? I have a pair of green wingtips that I'm never sure what to use to give it a real proper shine, and I can't find a good example online. Maybe you already did one though and I missed it!

I have a small challenge. I will never say you don't do an excellent job polishing shoes. Definitely one of the best I've seen. With that said, I'd like to do you do the same kind of mirror shine on a pair of police duty boots. The leather grain is much more porous and a bit of a challenge. I'd like to see what you can do. I work with and shine Bates Enforcers. They don't have a toe cap. Really open pores. It would be entertaining to see what you could do.

I recently stumbled upon your channel and just love it! Your videos are very relaxing and satisfying to watch. There definitely is something worth while in doing things the old school way and taking care of what you have. Forgive my lack of knowledge on this topic, is patent leather the same as the mirror shine that you put on gentleman's shoes?

Allen Edmonds makes great shoes but their quality leaves a lot to desire...I own a pair of Fifth Avenues and the St. John Double Monk Straps. Both I had to send them back and buy a new pair. The second time I kept them. I was doing a mirror shine on the St. Johns and noticed for the first time that the medallion is not centered on one of the shoes. It is not a show stopper but I can't believe they would have this kind of defect on a $400 pair of shoes. I have two pairs of Beckett Simonon and they were perfect from the start. I've ordered two more since then.

Quick question, tried finding a cobbler in my area. Saw some reviews and gave them a chance. Took my Allen Edmonds in to be resoled. I got them back and initially thought I got a blind stitch only to realize they cemented me a half-sole. What's worst is their English is weak and I explained this is not what I wanted and said I wanted a Goodyear welt the response was "Goodyear?". So in short are my shoes toast or will another cobbler be able to resole my shoe the right way when the time comes. I feel so bad. These were my first real shoes I bought 5 years ago after watching a number of your videos. The uppers look amazing. Any tips and advice will be appreciated. I will definitely look around for a better place.

Hi Preston I am trying to use some Beaute Du Cuir Admiral gloss wax to get a mirror shine. It is a very hard wax to use, would it be OK to warm up the wax to make it easier to use. Your thoughts appreciated, thanks. Nick in the UK

Yes you can definitely do that but if you warm it up too much and the solvents evaporate, it will turn stone hard

No wonder why some products are sub-optimally made and I end up returning them. You can actually see it in minute 11:00, very shoddy craftsmanship. I hope they re-trained this worker or fired him. The Cork he demonstrated is patchy, half missing and very badly made.
