As a West Ham fan, your review of the ground was very fair. The atmosphere is normally worse than what it was today. Only good atmosphere on European nights. Food & Drink options are terrible and overpriced. Location is only good for home supports who have easy access to Stratford station. The song " you sold your soul, for this shit hole" is what we hear every game and every West Ham fan agrees. Aston Villa's away support is always top tier. Good luck for the rest of the season.

I’m a West Ham season ticket holder and thought your review was fair on all fronts except location. The stadium is so easy to get to from anywhere in London, it’s one of it’s few redeeming features. Very difficult to create atmosphere in the stadium, no character to it and the food and drink options are poor and expensive. West Ham fans are proper football fans but it's hard to make up for this stadium. Good to hear your perspective, I like Villa - proper fans!

Even the walk back to the tube station is a nuisance.

Glad you mentioned the idea of Villa moving to a new stadium. There was talk of one at the NEC shared with the Blues. Jesus, be careful what you wish for. If this vid doesn't kill it dead I don't know what will. Villa away from Villa Park just wouldn't be right. I feel for the Hammers fans losing the Boleyn. That was a good point for the lads. I had it down for a draw in my run in spreadsheet and with Spuds being mashed at Fulham, Villa are now back on track for 4th despite being 3 points adrift of my predictions (thanks to last week) at this stage of the season. Even getting to the train station after a game is such a great experience not! For me Upton Park all day and its such a same for supporters home and away not to experience a proper traditional ground and atmosphere Don't let them do it to you guys stay at Villa Park. I have seen a few good games over the years at Villa Park including a couple of semi finals and not so good semi finals (Forest springs to mind) lol I thought we had the first half and you the second. I actually thought you were going to win it, you were going for it while we reverted to low block Moyes Ball second half with some strange subs Johnson for Antonio, really....... I think that was a record length VAR at the end and as you say no ones knows what is happening. Keep goal line tech and f**k VAR off. Its killing football, I don't think any true fan wants VAR. Something new for this season that you didn't mention is that new 'wall' on your left between home and away, making it even bloody worse than it was last season. As a West Ham supporter it's quite frankly embarrassing that we moved from UP to this shit hole.

You manager made great changes, ours put us on the back foot. As a football fan, surely you can see that and maybe understand why so many West Ham fans want Moyes out. All we get on social media and the press is we're idiots for wanting him out. I'm not Moyes out but I empathize with those that are. You're right about the stadium and atmosphere but believe it or not there have been improvements. As for the game, VAR gave you a get out of jail card but a fair result overall. In fairness you were lucky you weren't in the top tier as well...the views from there, so I've seen from away fan pictures, are atrocious! You've no need to move out of Villa Park tbf. West Ham, probably, did need to move from The Boleyn Ground as the plans for 45K development were never going to come to fruition and weren't workable from a logistical perspective as it was a nighmare getting 36k in and out of Upton Park as it was. But the Toilet Bowl was never the answer. Your point about singing bubbles twice is probably worth some perspective on. Players come out of the tunnel to it the first time. Just before kick off the second. So when the first ball is kicked it's around the 'Fortunes Always Hiding' crescendo...giving the players a boost. I have no issue with that. It's trying to seek an advantage like your American owner did when he moved away fans from behind the goal to the side of the pitch (which I thought showed initiative and understanding of the game). Best of luck for the rest of the season...would be great to see yous get 4th.

So glad we (PNE) rebuilt Deepdale in the same footprint as the old one rather than the plans they proposed for building a bigger one on the docks where the size wouldn't have been restricted by houses and roads around Deepdale. But you have to stay at your home ground, it's a part of every club's history. I can understand if you make the EPL and have a 10,000 capacity wanting to relocate if it's your only choice. But not moving also keeps our record of the oldest continuously used league stadium and the stadium that has hosted the most league games. Moving to the docks, which would have been miles closer for me personally would have been a terrible idea.

The food at the stadium is a 1/10. They also installed a wall recently to block home fans and away fans, which you might have noticed. 2/10 stadium only gets a 2 because of its capacity

In response to the person who said this is clickbaity, if youve been there as an away fan youll know its not clickbait. Its a great stadium. But it isnt a FOOTBALL stadium. Its awful for atmosphere. And the away end, the top and bottom tiers are miles from eachother. Impossible to build an atmosphere. Its soulless.

I only went to Upton Park once but it was a proper football ground with great atmosphere as everyone says. My only problem there was that we blew a 2 goal lead that day. We never did any good there either. I think that's a decent point today. I would have taken it before the match. We really have got to get as many home wins as we can though starting against Wolves. When the move was happening they showed us graphics and illustrations that made it look like Bayern Munichs Allianz stadium, we were told the seats would go over the running track right up to the pitch. It all turned out to be lies. Cant wait for the day we sell and hopefully move.

A right stress fest, but VAR decisions mostly went luckily for us though we should have had a penalty for a handball. Loved Zaniolo coming to the rescue again and Matty Cash's phenomenal block! Don't get why some couldn't pick up the Villa fans though. I was listening to the match on the radio at home and could hear our fans from three rooms away. Was a tough game happy to not lose I would have taken a draw before the game. I saw that Duran was playing I thought that could possibly be some physical presence to disrupt their backline. However it left us light in midfield as Duran is not a number 10 type player. I had to laugh at he looks lost that bloke😂. Zaniolio so pleased for him finished well.Need to be better against Wolves they will raise their game for us always do.

It's a fantastic athletics stadium, hosted one of the most famous nights in British sporting history.. I never experienced football there, and hiding by this I won't be rushing.

The stadium is not what fans wanted or expected so yeah the design is shite for football,as for the stadium catering,well it is basic & overpriced!yet if you visit anywhere else(closest location is Hackney Wick or Here East next to river Lee.the quantity,prices & quality is very good)OR come via Stratford(but NOT the Westfield shopping centre!)you want to visit the original older,smaller Stratford Centre off the Stratford Broadway & Great Eastern Road just off West Ham Lane,lots of decent traditional and modern pubs like Queens Head,the Black Bull,King Edward’s,SportsMan Bar,Golden Groove,Abbey Tap all of these are 2minute walk from each other.the location you away fans are put in is basically the “undeveloped” part of Stratford(probably by Pudding Mill Lane!)next time you’re visiting get a driver that knows the area.

I was there yesterday and it's a big disappointment of a stadium. I was really looking forward to seeing it but it's certainly not made for football. You are that far away we could barely tell what's happening at the other end of the pitch. And I assume all the black tarpaulins covering the higher seats all the way around are due to restricted views?
