I wanted to add a bit more context here, I bought this suit back in 2017 with money that I was going to use for an overseas trip but instead bought a suit from FTW. I was in communication with them for the past 6 years, and was always told they were working on their queue. I asked for a trello but was told due to "some being gifts" they didn't have a public queue. I had a deadline of 17 months, but alas it went over many many deadlines. I found out later that people who bought their suit AFTER me, were receiving them. I constantly asked for updates with nothing to show but extremely small things like "the eyes" "here's another suit we are working on that's going to have the same features as yours". I asked for a refund due to not starting my suit and was told that they don't do refunds. They do indeed do refunds but only if someone else bought your slot which means they would possibly be waiting the same amount of time. This overall process has been so damaging for my mental health, as its caused me so much stress over the years. I thought I lost my money forever. I ended up cutting a deal with them in the end as they wanted me to still send them money for shipping even though I had waited 6 years for this suit and they weren't even finished. I made a deal of downgrading to a full partial and them using my money for the full suit as shipping. I am utterly so upset that when it arrived it didn't even fit. So many others and I'm talking A LOT of people are still stuck in the same vote, waiting years for their suits, getting ghosted, and I was one of the lucky ones. Changed behaviour is needed on their behalf to fix this business otherwise refunds need to be made to the people who are suffering.

I feel like people have romantasized fursuit making as a job. Most fursuit makers are *not* making bank they're making minimum wage. If you want fursuit making as hobby, good for you! But a job is a responsiblity. And we need to clear up some of the rumours so starry eyed individuals don't go out and do stupid shit like this.

Absolutely ABYSMAL production and behavior from this maker. When you were showing how your arms didn’t even FIT into the sleeves, that just showed how much negligence and laziness was put into this costume. I’m so sorry you had to go through an incredible amount of frustration and stress for YEARS. Hoping maybe one day, you can find a lovely maker who could maybe refurb or redo your suit. Your character is adorable and really deserves that justice💜

The fact that you just got this after 7 years of waiting isn't looking good for me. I (unfortunately) commissioned them in April of 2019. This means that in all likelihood, I won't be getting it till 2026 or later. I was hoping to get it sooner as I paid in full, and it was just the head. I've honestly written off ever getting my head at this point. But I'm glad you got yours, but man from a far it looks good, but holy heck is it not the best work up close. Cute fursona though. :3

Commissioner here from way back when. I was kind of unsatisfied with my suit, I ended up selling her. But I had asked for follow me eyes and a moving jaw. The reference I sent them had a nub tail. They gave her static eyes, a static jaw, and her tail was long. Overall quality was okay, but I feel like my suit kind of stretched? And my feetpaws! Oh my gosh. They were so heavy, I wanted to just wear her as a partial because of the feet alone

I can relate as a fellow FTW customer, I also had to wait many years and the general customer service / communication was horrible. I was luckier than most in that they fixed a bunch of the mistakes they initially made, but even then I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, I'm so sorry that happened to you. Whenever people compliment my suit, and ask me who made it, I immediately tell them to never order from them

Oh lol I’m a customer of hers from way back. At the time I commissioned two suits, and she mixed up the sizing on the bodysuits. But more heinous was that she made the head i had with the incorrect type of foam. I babied it but one day when preparing to clean it found that the inner foam was dissolving entirely and breaking down. When I asked her what could be done she decided instead to go into her fursuit channel and do “preemptive damage control” on how I must’ve done a poor job caring for my suit. In private though oh no- she knew what was wrong- and would fix it for a price. At that point the writing was in the wall with her increasingly wild queues and lowering quality so I took it to someone else to assess I trusted. We hoped to be able to remove some of the foam and repair it the best we could but sadly it was too far worn down- some of the foam was almost a gel from breakdown by the standard alcohol sprays at the time. RIP lil jackalope suit, lasted a good 2.5 years.

This video gave me flashbacks of my orders from Kitten's Playpen. Mind you they didn't make full fursuits, just ears and tails. Their "ready-to-ship" stock would take _months_ to ship - and it wasn't getting stuck in transit, but not even leaving the shop for months. And the two times I ordered bespoke ears, the first took over a year and they weren't as cleanly made as the examples on the website, and the second never got to me. I was reassured over and over for more than two years that the single pair of ears I'd ordered would be finished "in a few months." And then the company went under. x.x At least in my case, it wasn't a huge monetary loss. I can't imagine dropping money for a fursuit, waiting over six years, and then getting such shoddy results!

Seriously!? Unacceptable. Did they really try to call this a kemono suit??? Lol. It just looks like their normal style but with a shorter muzzle and glass domes over the eyes. There are kemono suit makers who would have done the nosering way better along with everything else. Commission a real kemono suit maker who specializes in the style. It just seems like they saw the rise in popularity kemono suits have gotten in recent years abd were trying to cash in on the hype to excuse poor craftsmanship as "part of the style". Without practicing or experimenting first

My suit is from FTW. It's a partial but I paid something around 3.5k for it in 2015-16 because I prepaid for a full suit of a different character. I was still in the queue when I decided to change to the character I have now. They literally forced me to buy the feet with the partial even though I just needed head, tail, and arms. And just like you experienced, the feet were way too big! Sadly I tossed them truly a waste since I couldn't reuse the materials. They also had me pay for additional materials because I changed the character. They never told me about a deadline to change the order before to avoid this. So I basically paid for TWO (also started as a full digigrade then switched to partial) suits from them but only got one!! I've never recommended them and their style is very similar to other suit makers. When I got her, I also had to make several alterations to the way the arms are worn, the hair, and the eyes which they wouldn't customize for me at the time. It's been 3 years since I've worn the costume and I'm terrified it may have mould now since it's been in storage. I plan on taking her out and trying to clean her up because of how much money it cost, but it may be a lost cause. *But yeah TLDR; don't order from FTW order from someone with a similar style! I commissioned them when they were still kinda new (2015) so it's sad to see they never improved, and even got worse.

Its honestly so crazy that some of these bigger name makers in the fandom end up doing this, but then I have seen smaller makers that a lot of ppl havent heard of, and those ppl have the best customer service ever. I am so sorry you had to go through this. This is one major reason I have decided to learn how to make my own suits

Man! I commished them in like 2019, in 2021 I didn’t feel like waiting anymore, and something seemed strange with the consistency of quality in their suits when I looked at the images, some seemed kinda sloppy in a way? so I asked if a refund was possible! thank GOD they agreed to a refund, cuz of covid and all. Dodged a bullet with this. So unfortunate that it has to be like this :(( edit; omg it disappeared' I wanted to write that I’m so sorry that you had this experience :((

@TeaLeefx I was told that they could "sell my spot in the queue" and i would be refunded once that happened. Maybe they had already startet your suit, or atleast gotten the materials or some shit. Nor that im defending them in any way, cuz fuck that. Its innsane that they were behaving like this. And im very sorry :((

For how long you had to wait, seeing how much they didn't even listen to you about for very important design elements, the rush job quality despite the almost 7 YEARS they had to work on it, not even sending you the full order, not making it to fit you whatsoever, them trying to gaslight you into thinking you chose all the messed up parts of the suit design... You need to try to get most, if not ALL of your money back. Especially since they didn't only do this with your order. The more people that try to get their money back, the less people they can screw over with the horrible quality they're forcing people to accept. I am so sorry that they did your sona so dirty :'( you deserve so much better.

Six YEARS and not allowing a refund is unreal. Even though you got your suit i think this maker is not much better than a scammer. 😞😥 Tbh the not offering a refund after 5+ years with almost no progress photos...might as well be a scammer :'/ especially since it doesn't fit. And anyone in the comments saying you can tailor it....its not your job to fix the entire suit to fit you. They had six years they could have mad a suit that fits. That was their job. Im heartbroken for you that none of it fits bc it is pretty cute! I make fursuits so i know they take a long time but this is just completely unacceptable. Not a single excuse.

@@TeaLeefx make your own, fursuits are pretty overpriced and take a long time to purchase. Im not saying that the effort put into them is not worth the money, but a majority of the money is usually due to them having a lot of commissions and how long it takes. You could prob make a hq budget fur suit like this for 300$ . Have you seen starberry? her first fursuit was amazing! your first may not look as good, but i noticed a lot of people usually progress their fursuit making skills very quckly within 2-3 fursuits. Most people just never try to take the first step

I don't have a FTW suit, but I have a suit from a maker on instagram, and when I tell you it was one of the most low quality suits ive ever seen, his hair had bald spots, fur wasnt glued down around the face and ears, some markings were completely missing, the horns were made from fur and 3d printed scrap, the nose was painted horribly, and I cant breathe or see out of him, he took 5 years to come and it was the most unpleasant experience ever, especially how I payed for a fur partial and only ended up getting a head and paws, shit is awful

Oh damn, that’s like my experience with the maker „Made by Mayuu“. After 8 or 9 years I managed to squeeze a pair of paws and a tail out of them even though I paid for a Fullsuit. And the build quality is not great.

Damn, the mini partial I bought second hand for $600 CAD at a convention is of around the same quality as this suit, plus the vision is good.. Idk if I missed how much you bought the suit for or if you didn’t specify, but going through that 6 year headache for this end product is just shitty. Sorry that happened.

Never settle this is a big mistake cause this is what there hoping for is for you to cave in so they don't have to do more work and to cut corners . This is very unprofessional and what some fursuit artist do to try and get more money . A lot of this looks like they didn't take correct measurements and guessed what size to make like the feet I knew from just first looking at them they were to big Never let them bully you into a bad product

FTW is from Quebec region so I presume they are cheap cause I live here to let you know, be aware and take legal actions if anything goes wrong, they will eventually change their mind about priorities and do you commission of legally refund as it should.

As a victim of FTW, no, it doesn't take this long. They are just lazy and terrible at their business practices. I am working with a maker who finished a whole body suit in less than a week. If you wait this long, I can say it's not worth it and there are better makers out there who deserve the money more.

in my opinion if a commission takes over a year and a half that's a HUGE stretch. Some popular makers have huge waiting lists, but it shouldn't ever pass that without warning the buyer in the beginning.

It's annoyingly not that rare. OneFurAll is an infamous example with some people waiting up to 12 years and STILL not having a suit yet. But I've seen far too many makers slack off on suits for years and still they look rushed...

Semi-newbie maker here and wow. That is ridiculous. The suit is plenty cute, but the feetpaw size, the arm sleeves being unwearable, and let alone the artist's issues- this is way too ridiculous. If you wanted, I could fix some stuff up for free? Make some parts of it actually wearable for you? I can't pay the shipping of it right this second, but if you want to consider it, I'm more than happy to chat somewhere? I'm US based and my partner is Australian so we know the curses of international shipping haha I'm not so ridiculously new that I've never done this before, ofc! I'm just not a commission-based maker so I've only made a few suits (no fullbodies yet, but I have made full partials, completed other suits, and am currently making a ¾ digi suit for myself) and doing something like that would help me learn more and get out there a little better too ♡

So sad that you had to wait so long for a partial. I don’t know if the outcome matches your design, but that head is gruesome. The mouth is weird, the ears are very big and do not look like they are part of the head. I apologise if I seem negative, but this head is not appealing to me at all.

I think the arm sleeves looks ok, not lining fur is not that Bad.

You're right not lining them is kind of ok. But I'd at least overlock the edges and make them the right size.

ok so the head "eyebrows" MOST smaller markings are normally hand sewn in so can be hard to get full symmetry on those UNLESS they just glue them on (which would look funky ) the Armsleeves: looks like AFTER thought or possibly due to same color for someone else, may have gotten someone elses sleeves, but size wise the hand paws go up a bit of the way, the sleeves would go over those and rest of way up the arm. EYES: PLEASE for love of glob, take a sewing needles and poke out the painted bits will REALLY help you with vision! (most makers do this prior with canned air when paint wet..but here didnt happen). INNER EARS: thats NOT fur, so HARD to color match and probly tried to go with best color for it. AROUND HORNS: Ok thats just being lazy..could have been glued for a nice trim.. ZIPPER: shouldn't matter color honestly AS long as when zipped its not noticeable. HEADSEAMS: have you tried brushing them out a little ? possible the maker didnt do that before shipping. FOR THE TOO BIG PARTS: I know this can be frustrating, but too big is easier fix than too small. For big parts i always recommend making like pillow inserts for heads/ feet so its more comfortable/ less sliding around issues. It IS really sad to see something of this nature after 6 years waiting though, and would highly recommend talking with the maker specially after you down graded to a partial, about partial refund/ and or fixes or at least the pillow beans to add to the head and feet for sizing more to your head. LASTLY: as for lining handpaws/sleeves normally people dont do unless asked prior, due to lining can cause more heating issues pending on the person/ what materials is used, and for armleeves the ends (towards the wrists) never get hemmed for it would show HEAVILY the sew lings and not flow with paws once added. Would highly recommend getting a "slicker brush" and a smooth haired brush for a good go over of the suit, no matter what, suit will shed awhile after from the loose fibers so brushing will help (ONLY slicker use if matted area, or going over seams to pull the fur from under them )

I’m not really sure what this comment is for. Unless you see it in person it’s really hard to make any judgement on the product. Sadly this isn’t something I can go to the maker and get “fixed or partial refund” as this maker has literally ghosted so many people who are paid and waiting for a suit. The eyebrows are extremely not symmetrical And I actually did a better job with my own (first) fursuit with symmetry. The armsleeves were thrown together, and my measurements were not taken into account it does NOT fit. The eyes there is no paint to “poke” they have layered the eyes so thick with buckram that you cannot see properly. Its layers of that not paint. The inner ear is the same material as the minky on the hands and feet so they were careless and did the wrong colour. The seams I have tried everything and they actually are so bad its becoming worse if I touch it more. The feet and paws will need major work for them to fit. The amount of work it needs to make it as good as it should of been would pretty much cost me the same amount as a new head.

I think the 6 years wait was worth it? I mean that suit looks AMAZING and the arm sleeves are fixable and the feet to, I think it looks beautiful 😻 but I respect your opinion, this ISNT A HATE COMMENT! I just think it’s pretty:)

but waiting six years is a really long time and I’m assuming it cost a lot of money, knowing how much fursuits cost in general. Paying so much money for a suit that you’ve been wanting for six months and still having to do work on the suit doesn’t seem right in any circumstance. Why pay money and wait so long if at the end of it you still have to do so much to it?! if the makers could’ve easily done right the first time?! i’m sure you’d be upset as well if you were in their shoes…

Sadly 6 years is a huge deal for me. From a 17 year old to now an adult. As well as the arm sleeves aren’t fixable they are too short so they don’t reach my shoulders properly. Everything is too big, nothing is wearable other then the tail. As well as not even being able to get my full digi suit which was paid for because of their incompetence and myself having to strike a deal to just get anything. I respect your comment, but sadly I think you would change your mind very quickly being in my position
