The Sea Shanty dance that was a phenomenon on TikTok uses the first verse with Chance in all the renditions. There are 500k versions and over 7 billion views on TikTok and still most people don't have a clue that it is Chances's voice and Home Free that they are dancing to.

The version went viral, over 3 million watches plus hundreds of dancers doing a dance routine. This is a huge breakout during concerts!

Chance was the one that started singing. Adam is the beatboxer, Tim is the bass (capt Jack Sparrow), Austin is the one acting goofy with the high voice, and the one with the beard and glasses is Rob.

Adam Chance (called Chance since Adam Rupp the beat boxer/singer was a founding member) was the opening soloist. He shares the bass line duty with Tim Foust when Tim soars into his higher range. This was filmed during quarantine so everyone came up with his own version of a pirate costume and setting at home. In the group set up it's top to bottom Rob, Tim, Austin (the nut case), Chance and Adam.

How good are these guys? The fun & energy in this is infectious. This was done during quarantine so none of the guys were even together. The editing of this was great & was done in the Tik Tok style. Love all the guys parts, with Chance starting first, then Rob & Tim's rumbling bass underlying it all. Austin is in the red outfit. Adam's beatboxing is phenomenal as always including sea swells & castanets. Amazing how he increased the tempo from one song to another. They do this medley of songs in their live concerts.

A great idea from Chance who likes a lot of those Sea shanty songs and in my opinion really has the voice and appearance for them. It is made in quarantine period. Besides each having their great part in this medley, I really love the beatboxing with castanets sound! And props for Adam on making the fab castings sound.

Chance loves his sea shanties! He has done several on his most frequent collaborators' channel The Hound and The Fox including an original one that was written specifically with a part for Chance, A Whistling Lad.

This was one of the several they did via internet during the insanity that was covid shutdown. So they were doing this from all over the country. These guys can do it all!

One thing you have to understand about all these guys is that they are not just great singers with great voices....they have actual music degrees! They have studied music as their business.....not like most musicians today who just pick up a mic and sing....they guys have the knowledge and degree to put it all together and actually write their music! No one does it for them.

Who knew sea shanties were so much fun?! I didn’t. The first singer (with knit cap) is Chance. He’s the one who replaced Chris and is also a huge fan of shanties. Austin was in red with the sword. He’s had musical training, can you tell??? Tim was Capt. Jack Sparrow and is the bass. Rob wears the glasses. Adam is the beatboxer. Did you hear the castanets Adam was doing in the last song? I got to see them live at the beginning of March and the did this medley as the encore… the whole room was dancing and clapping and everyone was on their feet! Also if you want a song that highlights Rob, watch their cover of End of the Road, it’s AMAZING!

This is one of many they did during quarantine...it was ingenious! They usually put out two each month and they each did their parts from home and sent it to their production crew who worked their magic and this is a perfect example. They started by using their phones and then got better equipment. Some of these were Kenny Rogers Gambler, Moonshine, Folsum Prison Blues, When A Man Loves A Woman,and their homage to quarantine named Quarantine.

Love Tim as Captain Jack. You need to go to Tim's channel and react to his solo videos. Like Geoff, he did multiples of himself in his cover of In My Room. Not Austin that's Chance opening this song. Adam is the beatboxer, and Austin is dressed in a Red shirt and sword. You will get it right by the end of the video lol. Chris Rupp is no longer with the group in this one, chance has taken his place.

Just when you get used to Tim's bass they throw you for a loop with Tim at the tippy top of his range and Chance taking the bass line! The arrangement was done by Adam Rupp (the beatboxer) and is from earlier in their careet, so it has Chris Rupp (Adam's brother) along with Tim, Austin, and Rob. It's just an amazing arrangement, performed in front of an ice palace in Minnesota...

There is a video where voiceplay is the main group singing, but they have many other singers (several from Sing Off competitions) including Tim Foust from Home Free. It's called "Just Sing". I think you'd enjoy it. The harmonies the they create with so many voices coming together are absolutely mind blowing. If you want another one from Home Free, I recommend "Hillbilly Bone". If it doesn't get your feet stomping and your blood pumping, nothing will.

Rob is classically trained, hence the opera singer song. He is the most vocally agile of all these groups. Amazing runs.

As for what members are in what video, Adam, Austin, Rib, and Tim are in all of them . Chris is in videos before mid-2016 and Chance is in the ones after that. The fact that they managed, not once but twice, to find 5 guys who sings so well, whose voices blend so amazingly is just short of a miracle.

Rob's voice is just all natural butter. There's no other good way to describe it, he's just got "it" whatever "it" is. He's got "it" in absolute truck loads.
