Honesty is the tuition and down payment for transparency. Transparency is the investment that pays the dividends for vulnerability. Any other way and you will end up with a warped intimacy. It's paramount that we understand what it means to truly become naked and vulnerable.

You knocked yall's testimony out the park when you said of your redemption story: 'although you received a vision of who your husband would be, you must still serve God & not the vision' #epic

Looking forward to unlocking true nakedness/vulnerability with my kingdom spouse. This was honest and I appreciate the true depiction of a relationship/marriage. I hate the selling of a dream. Life is not a fairytale.

This is so good!! I am so looking forward to this challenge with my future husband. I am patiently waiting for the two of us to show our true nakedness with one another with no judgment, no anger or hostility just honoring one another in the most intimate way. This is so beautiful being able to share with each other this with complete honesty and love. ❤❤ #vulnerability

Both of you are truly a blessing. I grew up with parents who are very cold towards each other and transactional. They never divorce yet they are abusive towards each other with my mother showing plenty of contempt while my father absorbing everything to keep peace in the family preventing it from shattering. I’ve been in relationships and a couple of time getting close to marriage yet I struggle so much in finding meaning in those relationships and the courage to move forward, not that I don’t love the person. I think I can find its roots in what I witness in my family of origin, it’s affecting me in more ways that I thought. So now I want to learn how to be healthy. Thank you for your continuous effort to show and teach us. Much appreciated

I’m taking a lot of notes so I can let this “marinate” for a while. The depth in which this conversation goes to is so needed. Please continue to be prayerful and keep sharing this vitally important information. 🙏🏾

I believe most women and men in marriage put up barriers because they want the communication to be positive and any disagreement, argument, etc. is like an attack on them. The truth is not always pretty or make you feel good all of the time. Life itself is filled with a lot trials and tribulation. I see so many people men and women acting just like those men asking Jesus Christ can i put away my wife just because. I believe in marriage we need to be vulnerable with our spouse just like we Love. Love is unconditional!!!

We have to be willing and open to creating a safe place for our spouse to be in, knowing that come what may in those conversations, they can be themselves. For me it's like if we can't be ourselves while talking, then what's the point. Nobody's even close to perfect and everyone has a past (of some sort)
@LutherPittman
@LutherPittman Жыл бұрын
@@silvergray2345 why marry them in the 1st place? I just don't agree. You have to be vulnerable to cultivate a relationship to put yourself out there, to try to talk to them, etc. When you start making things conditional it is no longer love. We have this false understanding of safety. You never really know how your spouse will react you just be vulnerable cuz it's about the relationship not just about you and your feelings.

@@LutherPittman A safe place for your mate/spouse to be able to talk to u means they know that they can talk to u without being (verbally) attacked while voicing/expressing themselves. Conversations must be had in order to move forward, sort things out and draw closer to one another. If your mate/spouse can't be comfortable in doing that with u how can progress in said relationship be made. Having those kinds of conversations with your mate/spouse is a place of safety. They have trust that they'll be heard even if not agreed with. That's not an unfair expectation for either. It's not unreasonable to want to be heard. You must be willing to listen also. There's lots of give in marriage and people have to seek God on all of it in order to know that. In order to be that safe place for your spouse u have to seek God on a daily

@@silvergray2345 i know what it means, but how are sinners saved by grace ever going to be perfect with that. None of us will get the smallest things perfect. That is why us Christians divorce rate is the same as the world, 50%. You be vulnerable just like you give your love. Give it any way unconditionally for the good of the marriage because your spouse ain't always going to agree or be on your side on every thing.
@silvergray2345
@silvergray2345 Жыл бұрын
@@LutherPittman It is something that is learned, by both. It will never be perfect but with Gods help, it will work for the couples that continue to seek Him. Everyone is flawed, so everyone needs Gods continued mercy and grace. Whomever is not interested in marriage they shouldn't even venture in that direction. Nobody that desires marriage will come into it fully prepared. There's prep work that should normally take place during the season of dating to help the couple seek God on if this is even the right mate, sent from Him. The marital relationship is work until death. Not everybody is willing to put in that kind of work. They learn how to be one another's support, best friend and their safe place. Enjoy your blessed day!

YESSSSSSSS! EXACTLY. I PRAY THAT WE ALL RECEIVE THIS IN THE WAY THAT GOD INTEND US TO. SO, THAT WE CAN HEAL, GROW, EVOLVE, AND THRIVE IN THE WAY THAT CHRIST INTEND US TO IN THE MIGHTY AND MATCHLESS NAME OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH. THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES. AMEN. We have to understand that going through this process is very, very, very IMPORTANT. AMEN.
