5 жыл бұрынIt all started from a car crash. One that took away a parent and a brother. After that she was left to fend for herself from the age of 7 onwards. She lost her childhood and had to fight to survive enduring things that even adults shouldn't be exposed to. She fought her whole life to survive - even when she was safe. And just when she was about to break down, she was saved by a mental hospital. There she learned how to deal with what she went through and how to live with her past. After so much work on herself she made it out to the other side scarred but okay. What's most beautiful is that she was able to help those who had a past like her. Sometimes all they needed was just to know that they were not alone. Just to know that there was someone else who went through what they are going through and made it out okay. And this is the magic of stories.

so in Mexico, there's not any budget to do that and most of the times in little town orphanages are run by churches(and a lot of people just go to try and get unpaid workers such as a cleaning lady or babysitter) and in big cities is by the dif that actually investigates people and the adoption process is super long and you can't even smoke tobacco to get a kid

i was a street kid for a long time (a few months) because my parents neglected and abused me. she's right, the street life isn't as bad as you think. sure, there are bad people and drug deals and stuff but i was lucky enough to find shelter and food from kind people that give it out. mcdonalds used to give me free food everyday. i'm now happily living with a friend.

I don't want to say that this is fake but I am Mexican (born and raised, still living here) and there are some things that seem a little bit off... First, why did the dad go to the Vietnam War if he was mexican? If you're a mexican man and have a "cartilla militar" you can't go fight a war in another country if Mexico is not at war with said country (we have never been at war with Vietnam, we haven't been at war since WWII). Second and most importantly, WE DON'T HAVE FOSTER PARENTS IN MEXICO. We have DIF (National system for integral family development). Is the institution that takes care of orphan, neglected, abused or street children. If you're sent to a DIF orphanage, you are not leaving until you're 18 or you become adopted. Another thing is that DIF rarely takes kids from the streets...
