But Mercy Atieno says you should not judge her before hearing her story. She claims she fought hard to go to America but was accused falsely of arson, served five years in prison and later got deported naked.
Her song, " I don't give a damn" has gone viral and she says all the people who laughed at her are in for a big shock.
She sat down with Lynn Ngugi for this exclusive episode of Tuko Talks and this is her story

I feel sorry for all that she went through. But, I have a question? It seems something is missing to make up the pieces. Running away from her first location, is she sure she didn't end up doing drugs with bad company? People who live in the shelter have something in common. That is, violence and drugs addicts lives in the shelter. Thank God she's back home safely.
