DMZ refers to the demilitarised zone between North and South Korea. The sword case has both the US and South Korean flags in it. The former owner must have been in the US military over there, since the Korean War.

Exactly @richardpeers you beat me to this. The wire was given to alot of the high ranking or those with high commendations during the Korean War, and I might be wrong but some branches received both items after serving in S. Korea as well

The dmz wire display is something you can purchase while in Korea . I think I payed like 10.00 for mine.i was there in the early 2000 years.

It's a PCS (change of station) award. Units give them out when you're leaving the country.

The first unit with that thing Amber said don't touch was just a little old pole washer. Lol But you know if you don't mind me making a suggestion about all the art and craft stuff you find and want ta donate it I know places like nursing homes and assistant living places love things like that gives the people something ta do. Love you both stay SAFE and HEALTHY ( I know it's a little late about being safe after the slip and twist but just wrap him in bubble wrap Amber for the next one).

I'm having a blast watching you two make your way across the country bidding on units for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I'm not sure if that says something good about you or something pathetic about me. 😄 I've thought bidding on units would be fun, but there seems to be about 75% crap for the each 25% gems you find and I already have so much crap, so I'll stick with living vicariously through you guys. I'm curious as to why you didn't sell the tom -tom? Was it because it didn't have a head on it? It looked like it was the same brand as the snare so I wondered if the guy at the music store would have bought it. Anyway, thanks for all you are doing. I think it's awesome and I liked and subscribed. Stay safe and don't take up ballet.

The wire fence from DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) could be worth some good money. Casting tape is for broken bone plaster use some of it to strap your ankle

As stated, the 2nd Infantry Division stuff is from 2nd Infantry Division, they have been stationed in Korea for decades. I was in Korea for a year in the mid nineties, buy way down in the southern part of the country several hundred miles from the DMZ. The barbed wire set was a souvenir that they sold at the Joint Security Area gift shop right on the DMZ, IIRC they were about $15-20 back then, might be worth a little more now, plus you don't have to go to Korea to get it. The "fan things" with the hoses are water cooling all in one devices, in used working condition are probably worth $40-150 each, as is untested, probably $20 each. I would buy them for that. The helmet is a US Army ACH, Army Combat Helmet. they typically sell for over $100, and to me my helmet was not really a sentimental item, just another piece of issued kit, like a magazine pouch or backpack. Too late now, but Lumberton NC is not far from Ft. Bragg NC, the helmet would likely sell high there.

1:45 is a Raspberry Pi. Looking at the connectors and chips, it's mostly likely a 3B+ (the exact model is silkscreened below the 40 pin header. you're in luck - those things have SKYROCKTED in price due to shortage. You can get an easy $100 for that right now. They're new on Amazon for $189

The barbed wire is definitely from the Korean DMZ: DeMilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. The tv show MASH was set on the DMZ. The bayonet case and 2nd Infantry was the unit assigned to watch over the DMZ. My dad served there from ‘68-‘72.

Go through books carefully because college students are always looking for a deal on required books to be purchased for a class. The book you scanned could have possibly been a required college book. THere is big money on reselling books, cheaply to college students. If you could get a list of college syllabus's in your local area you might have a good source of revenue. Look for sites that cater directly to the college students looking to buy books cheap. Great find!!

Couple of things. When you test whether something is crystal you hold it with 2 fingers. The more of your hand that touches the glass the more the ‘ting’ sound is muffled. In future, please bring a magnifying glass to read jewelry and stuff. It drives me crazy when you both said ‘ I can’t read it ‘. The little metal box with calligraphy kit - those pen heads are called: nibs. Please wear shoes in future for obvious reasons. You often find work boots in those units. I think you lowballed the drums and boots. The first thing people do when they get a card with money it is take the money out. Storage unit cards never have cash. What about the other drums? I see the heads couldn’t be sold.

Man with ALL that Tat equipment- you could barter 4 a tattoo- or X around someone spends to get a Tat -> that $$$ goes 2 St.Judes. Many Many ways of doing it. Drum stuff-->> give to a Drummer in a band, they play a giving & the proceeds go to St Judes! I'm here all the time full of ideas!!💜💚💜☮🕉♻️

The "vape" is actually a pipe. You fill it up and as ash forms you twist it corkscrew emptys ash and don't have to fill it as often. I've heard them called glass blunts

Put ice on it for the first 24hr. but not directly on your skin bc you can get frostbite. Put a towel btw skin & ice bag. Ibuprofen for pain & inflammation. Stay off of it & elevate it as much as you can. No diving for you until swelling and pain goes away 👍🏻

Yikes! Ice, rest and elevate that ankle. Get a brace or an ace bandage on it to help with the swelling. That snare drum sold for a decent price.

The DMZ is the area between North and South Korea that you can visit. My brother in law took his S. Korean wife there and she was freaking out. We can't be here, until he found her an amazing mall to visit. Now they go all the time.

Hi Jesus, the DMZ is the “Demilitarized Zone” which is the famous area that separates North Korea from South Korea. That looked like a piece of barbed wire that at one time actually was use to divide the land. Your veteran that owned the unit must have served in Korea.

Your framed piece of barbed wire looks like it is a souvenir sold as from the boundary fence from Demilitarized Zone between North and south Korea. The item you referred to as a scimitar is a copy of the stylized machaira (Hellenic)/falcatta(Iberian) sword shown used by the Spartans in the films '300' and the sequel.
