The musical was Sam's Lake idea, almost didn't happen for the game, he fought for it. Glad it made it to the game.

For some reason, I am NOT surprised, that it was his idea. Like at all. But, I'm happy he got it in. Best section of gaming I have had this year.

Yea the people that wanted it out must feel pretty dumb right now. Surprised he had to fight for it when the most talked about part of Control is its version of this.
@mandrews62826 ай бұрын
@@BLeePritI can kind of see that. On paper this idea is ridiculous with the much darker tone Wake 2 took. Lol. Now that we’ve seen what the team has created it’s a no brainer but something like this would sound extremely hard to pull off well when the idea was thrown out. They did need a musical sequence though as Wake 1 and Control had it, so I think fans wanted more Old Gods in their gameplay again. They really did such an insanely good job at putting this together, and having all these plugins or whatever running in tandem is a feat in itself. Remedy is one of the few developers out there though that is actually willing to take risks, and it feels especially fresh in today’s risk averse gaming landscape where everyone plays it safe. Glad to see the Remedy charm is still alive and well. Lol.

i love moment where it seems to be over, because every streamer i’ve seen has reacted just like me: “aww it’s over… i wanted there to be more of it” and then the jazz portion starts before an actually super invigorating and satisfying grand finale, with a big cast dance number and confetti cannons. They knew damn well we’d be sad to see the musical section end, so they pulled yet another “underpromise, overdeliver”. i think i might have a crush on the concept of Finland now.

I am now approaching the endgame and alot of my issues have fallen away in the face of all this games incredible qualities. I'm very excited to finish it hopefully tomorrow but apparently I have like 7 chapters left, at last check I believe my playtime is 28 hours - I don't know if this counts the time where I had to redo progress I lost from crashes, if it does that'll enflate it a little cus there is a damn lunchbox that I swear I collected 4 or 5 times because I kept either dying between collecting it and saving or the game crashed between me collecting it and saving, and everytime I'd neglect going to get it until later. All the crashes stopped after the first update but then the second update brought them back it's pretty funny really. The musical sequence from this part is an incredible highlight.

Looking at you Cynthia.
