I'll advice this guy not to rush in life or decide to return to Ghana when you have a sustainable income. Stay in Dubai and save money. Your company pays for your accommodation and food which are major expenses in everyone's life. in Canada and US, rent and food will reduce your pay to probably nothing. Keep up with your work and save. When you have a lot of savings you become a strong person financially. Do not rush back because you want to see your mother. You're over 24 now, grow up and work hard.

Please someone should advice this guy to enjoy his life a lil. He looks so malnourished and living life of many ghanaians who travel and never enjoy life. They work, work, work and can't spend nothing on themselves. You're into construction and can still make big money in Ghana yet you just want to waist your time dreaming.

Most Ghanaians have always admired and preferred Canada to US as from way back in the 1970s when Ghanaians then did not require a visa to visit, per the then Commonwealth practice. Yours truly included. The reasoning is in the gun-happy culture in the US as compared to Canada's. I set out to travel in Europe in the 70s, smallish and about two years earlier than this guy and also with Canada as my ultimate destination. By the 80s I had accomplished that dream, but preferably as an American visiting Toronto from below the border. This young man might end up like me some day. But hopes he returns to school when he gets that chance.
