Open sesame is a magic phrase. It symbolizes how a sesame seed opens up. It's from Ali Baba and is an integral part of the story. At some point Ali Baba's brother uses the word to break into the cave. Once inside, the cave closes behind you and you need to say "open sesame" to get back out. Ali Baba's brother, in his delirium over all the treasure he stole, forgets the exact phrase and starts shouting out random grains to open the cave. He never remembers "sesame" and dies in the cave. The "says me" comes from a Popeye cartoon that adapts the story.

"Open sesame" (French: Sésame, ouvre-toi; Arabic: افتح يا سمسم) is a magical phrase in the story of "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" in Antoine Galland's version of One Thousand and One Nights. 11:05 The fan switch for summer and winter is true. Summer mode pulls air from the sides, forces it down the centre creating breeze you can feel and should be used with cooling aircon. Winter mode sucks air up the middle and forces it down the walls creating a breeze you can’t feel unless you touch your walls and should be used when your heat is on to spread the heat through the room faster. Using a the it can reduce your heating bill by 20-30% 😉

"Open Sesame" comes from an old, old book called 1001 Nights (aka Arabian Nights). It's the original book where Sinbad, the story of Aladdin, and Ali Baba and the 40 thieves etc and many other famous stories come from. 50 years ago, everybody and their mother knew about that book. (There weren't billions of books and movies, plus the internet for entertainment. There were just thousands plus no internet lol.) It's one of the original story books and it's huuundreds of years old. On a global ting, it was more famous than Shakespeare. Less famous than Grimm or Fairy Tales. Somewhere in the middle of those two. *So* a comment like "Open Sesame" was mainstream as F. That's why today we still have "Open Sesame."
@ktnixon8110 ай бұрын
The fan thing IS (kinda) TRUE, James! It spins the fans in opposite directions. Look how the fan blades have a twist in them. If the fan spins one way, the blades scoop the air from the top downward. Since hot air rises, it pushes the hot air downward. This is good for areas that are dry heat. The other direction scoops the cool air from below and pushes it upward to cool the air up top. This is for areas with humid heat.

When it comes to the seasonings, you don't turn it completely upside down and shake up and down. You turn it at about a 30° angle and shake side to side. This is so the flakes don't clog the hole. It works for salt, pepper and every other seasoning jar. If you do it the way the show in the video you'll over season your food.
