It's underrated. People don't know they like it yet. In a few years it will become popular. The fisrt sets of new blocks are always like that. It's a pattern since Black& White era.

SV is a great era glad you came around! Temporal paradox and base are my favorite buys now but they’re all great (sorry besides Obsidian Flames) still one one box of it though lol

I am glad to see you coming around on SV Era. My only gripe is that I don't think that the OBF Illustration Rare art is worse than Paldea Evolved. Some of the OBF artwork is so good (Gloom, Ninetales, Cleffa, etc...)... it's just there are 3x more IRs in Paldea Evolved, and OBF is lacking depth, for OBF to be investable. But many of the cards that OBF does have are pretty dope.

Seemed to be the consensus from many of YT channels which I attributed to lack of top shelf spicy pulls. I have only been buying SV cuz I feel it is very undervalued. I just wish I had more disposable cash. I am pumped to see how well this performs in 2-5 years and have a good feeling about the remaining 6 sets of SV. Since I am not a flipper long term means nyet to me.

I was here in 2020 when everyone said sword and shield sucks. It’s overprinted to death. It will never be close to the XY era. Now it’s the same nonsense that SV will never be SWSH.

We can learn 2 things from this video. Don’t always judge a book by its cover and don’t just buy because it’s cheap, do your research first.

Gem rates, pull rates, artwork, popularity of the big hits. Those are my biggest things when it comes to sets in general.

The art in my opinion has always been good this gen. The hit rates have changed since temporal forces and thus the card values have shot up. Which In turn causes hype which draws people to say the sv era is now good even though it always has been. And I'll tell you if hit rates stay the same sv will gain even more traction. Same with tera people hated on it but when we get more cards that have value people will change their mind. It's kinda ridiculous to be honest but to be fair most people just jump on the bandwagon anyway.

The same mistake will happen with Gen 10. 90% of people will say it’s garbage. Halfway through (aka right now) when money is still there to be made, people will say wow this is actually good or underrated, etc. soooooo Gen 10 I guess be ahead of the curve it’s easy to call. Gen 8 was the same…

I hear this argument a lot now and it's copium I'm sorry. I'm still very sour on most of Scarlet and Violet sets we've received so far. They haven't exactly been the most exciting ramping off from Sword and Shield. Not to say there hasn't been exceptions like 151 or solid artworks. I think the distain comes purely from the decision for Terastallization. Pokémon with hats is a rocky base to build on. It's something the market has to adapt to. It's already been happening with the gerninja. That being pumped because of lower printing and harder print runs sounds like manipulation to me, but it will all end up how it does. Vote with your gut and your wallets. 🤷‍♂️

Its what happens when people are overly blinded by SWSH atm. Most ppl ik just have been collecting SV for fun of it regardless of the precieved value and echochamber that the Poketubing community created. It was simple to see how good the era would be just from the art in SV base alone. Most investing channels are so over focused on the value and a notion of what needs to be in a set to successful yet failed to see Twilight Masqerade would of been fine but instead we got 2 months worth of content trashing it 😂. Sometimes you just need to look outside the tcg is why pokemon even makes those sets to begin with too.

Im so angry because ive been saying this from day one. I also said from day one that all these KZfaqRS will all of a sudden start back tracking on all the shit they're talking. The only reason people were saying S&V is trash was to manipulate the market and because youtubers were talking shit because the pull rates are too high or the cards are being printed too much. And now look what's happening. The next thing that's going to happen is all you people are going to ALL OF A SUDDEN upload videos about how S&V is better in every way than SWSH. Because it is. SWSH isn't even very good. You have like two good sets out of SWSH.

Obsidian is underrated imo if not undervalued. It’s got some of the best illustration rares in the era with ninetales, cleffa, gloom, and scizor.

Literally just buy a case of every booster box. Not hard.
