When you sign your drivers license you agree to obey the laws and to take a breathalyzer when asked by the law. When you refuse it is grounds for having your license suspended~

In the UK, if you refuse to take a breathalyser, they can either get a court order to take a blood sample, or they just automatically assume that you're guilty and you've given up your right to take a breathalyser to defend yourself. You absolutely can not refuse a breathalyser and get away with it here. I'm amazed that the US is seemingly more lax than us on this.

Completely ridiculous statement. It DOES matter if it is one drink vs. 20. A lot. You aren't impaired after 1 or 2 drinks and will be below the 0.08 BAC threshold. If you are going to argue that you can't drive after one or two drinks, even though this is LEGAL, then you ALSO should call out that it is dangerous to drive if you are older than 60, are tired (get less than 8 hours of sleep), have kids in the car, etc. This isn't black and white. There is a gray area .

It really doesn't matter because refusing to take a breathalyzer is an automatic license suspension whether you are Intoxicated or not. The only reason anyone has to refuse to take a breathalyzer is because they're over the limit and there's alcohol in their system. It's worth the license suspension because in the end there's plausible deniability since they can't release hospital records and they always seal the court records. I had a (now disowned) family member get away with their FIFTH DUI because it took longer than the 3 hour window to get his blood drawn for evidence in the case. Why do celebrities think we're dumb?

The lawyer is acting on his behalf, so this is what JT wants, at least for now. My guess is the pressure is to get the best deal ASAP, because a trial will be a much bigger nightmare for his image. He needs to get this behind him as fast as possible.

Omg I just remembered he did a shot of tequila on stage at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto during his Future Sex Love Show tour. And he made a comment about how the ACC told him he couldn’t drink, and he said eff that and poured and downed a shot of tequila in the middle of his show.
