honestly the most unrealistic plot in the movie was Hades, who is a Greek God, being somehow locked in the Aisle.. like genuinely how did they capture him 😭

I really loved Uma in this movie. She’s easily one of the best characters in the series, funny, fearless, sassy, caring, and an overall queen. She’s probably my second favorite tied with Jane, my number one is Evie. Great reaction, to one of my favorite movies✨

So a ruler can choose to what’s called ‘abdicate’ the throne as long as there is an heir that can ascend to it. For a healthy ruler not addicted to the power, who trusts they’ve raised (or adopted) a deserving and trustworthy heir, can step down from power and allow the heir apparent to step into the role, long before their death, if they choose.

Tbf, I would rather give the throne to my son once he is 22 or past that. It is a big responsibility, and I would prefer he enjoys being young for a little.

Knowing what we do nowadays about brain development, before 25 is pretty irresponsible for the kingdom’s citizens too (especially when he immediately turned around and did a reckless thing with that power and responsibility, that could have played out very badly- and probably did in a couple alternate universes, lol)

Okay unpopular opinion but I think the movies plot are in the wrong order. How is Queen of mean now upset? She should have been the villain for the second movie. It would have been more impactful if she was mad right after Mal and Ben got together. I know it ruins the Uma plot but it just seems out of place

I think you're onto something but what else would you change?? I will say a lot of the unexplained stuff is explained in the Descendants books which occur between the movies!

I get it’s a DCOM, but why was Audrey not punished? She was the villain the whole film? Mal & Ben being the King & Queen of Aurodon as teens when Ben’s parents are fully capable still of leading.

In the Descendants animated series it is cute & fun but sadly underrated. Also China voices Freddy who does Dr.Facilier’s daughter in it. When she got casted as Uma I wanted her as Freddy instead but she does eat it. I only like 2 songs from this film since the 3rd wasn’t the best. Harry is cannon as Bisexual but Descendants 2 did pull a deleted scene of him kissing a boy. I do ship Mal x Evie & Ben x Uma too cause they have better chemistry I agree that Evie’s boyfriend & her have nothing special. It was funny how people were saying how he aged looking 40 & looking like Nicholas Cage. I hope you can read the books that are prequels & maybe between the movies.

@@cheyenne.-.6175 Audrey wanted revenge because of the pressure queen Leah gives her so she wanted to take the crown but you also hear “Audrey “ from the scepter it is calling her over (“something is calling me…) plus she changes outfits which us believed by some is when the spell was put on her. Also she wakes up asking if it was a bad dream and yes she wanted to hurt them but not like that. Also Harry never dated Mal they were enemies. Yes she still wanted Ben but her with the scepter was too far and I believe the scepter can only be used by Maleficent or one of her descendants kinda like the triton in Ariel. Now note I’ve never read the books but many believe this theory.

I recall the fact of Hades is Mal's dad , it's based on the early episodes of "House of Mouse" , there was an episode where Hades asks for mickeys' advice on how to get the ladies , then Hades chose to hit on Malificent. I think it's based on that which leads to today descendants 3 where Mal calls Hades "Dad".

What Audrey did was valid imagine being destined to marry someone since you were a toddler and this random villain comes out of nowhere and takes your place and everyone just forgets about you and your family starts to treat you like an outcast for something that you couldn’t control 😭😭😭
