Fantastic video 👏🏿 documentary however The Punisher and Blade were the best as they were for mature audience, Blade saved Marvel Punisher had a great cast, yet a poor budget so bad the costume designer is the set designer, Hulk got better there were plans introduce Jennifer Walters in Hulk, not as a cousin the TV series had Banner sister i.e why She-Hulk was created. New World pictures a disaster due to chapter 11, all there TV shows suffered again great video thanks again.

I recall hearing about how the stunt coordinator specifically decided to take inspiration straight out of the actual Spider-Man comics from the time for how Spider-Man (Takuya Yamashiro) moved in the show. That combined with the really accurate costume helmed by Eaves Brooks makes this a fairly accurate Spider-Man.

Yeah, this is a weird ranking system. Talks about being faithful to the comics and proceeds to rank Japanese Spiderman as number 1 (I'm not hating on the show but that has got to be the most unfaithful to the source material though they did intend it that way). And wait, Japanese Spiderman isn't even a movie, it's a TV show-he just picked an episode of that. I don't know if that counts. And by the way, it's not about making fantasy movies "realistic", it's about making them as honest as possible (verisimilitude as what Richard Donner called it). Believing in the approach, the world being built, and the rules that go along with it. I can't believe Blade ranked lower than the Reb Brown Captain America movies. To each his own, I guess.

I watched both the 70s American Spider-Man series and the Japanese Spider-Man series last year and I actually loved them both. They stunts they were able to achieve with the technology they had is honestly Marvelous, there are real shots of Spider-Man climbing up the Empire State Building that don’t use any kind of CGI at all. I really wish these movies got more credit for pioneering the superhero movie genre. Marvel should make official releases of all of these series and stop trying so hard to bury film history.

Blade 1998; is more competently made and has more cinematic prowess. Than any other movie on this list. It is the only movie here that is watchable in the sense. That it isn’t made by incompetent morons, or isn’t cheaply produced.

I'm going to be honest when I was mindlessly scrolling a few days ago to add things to my watch later playlist, I could've sworn I read this video had 1M views. When I finally got around to watching it just now, imagine my shock about halfway through the video when I realized what the view count was actually at! I was more than convinced I was watching a video deserving of 1M+ views. You make knock-out videos that go well beyond the accepted standard for most media review and commentary on youtube. Your efforts are realized and appreciated by me, and I hope you get some more subscribership soon, as you've proven to be a consistently great content creator that is worth subscribing to. Also I don't think you could've done a better line read at 7:52 I had far too long of a laugh at this guys old gum head.

At some point I wanted to watch all movies/ tv shows related to comic books and I’m pretty much done with everything post 2000 and I’ve been struggling hard trying to convince myself to watch these old movies, and thanks to you I now know not to waste my time! I’m not even talking shit lol I appreciate it fr these are cool to look at and acknowledge their existence but that’s about it

As a huge Spider-Man fan I was so disappointed with those 70s movies. Japanese version was so much better even if it’s Power Ranger Spider-Man. Oh and I love Dolph Lundgren’s Punisher!

47:23 That's revisionist history and pure bias. Blade, X-Men, and Spider-Man, are the ones that got marvel movies back on track. And the incredible hulk series was extremely popular for a while and made a lot of people hulk fans

I live in Belgium, people still to this day think of Lou Ferrigno and Bill Bixby when you say "Hulk". When the MCU started, my mom knew Hulk, she told me "I loved the show they did in the 70's", and I watched it as a kid, too (my mom had a DVD of a few episodes). And I agree, the comic book films crazed's genesis is with Blade, Raimi's Spidey and Singer's X-Men.

@@Isaacisaperson4677its not that bad its just supposed to be a 2000s comedy not a big budget mcu film where if they do one thing wrong the entire universe dies with you needing to watch 10 movies to understand it

I was maybe a couple minutes into this video until you made me not want to watch it no more by saying that it all started with X-Men. Blade is what put the whole marvel cinematic universe on the map every single marvel movie in arguably superhero movie has found success from blade success. The movie blade single-handedly saved marvel comics as a company. And is the reason why they were able to make the movie X-Men in the first place

It's honestly not as bad as people make it out to be. I suspect people were turned on by the duck with boobs or the foreplay with Howard and Beverly and got angry with themselves and aimed that anger towards the movie.
