So, neither myself nor my sibling have broken bones, but going off of what my grandfather had to do when his knee calcified (after surgery), I'm pretty sure the "hold him down while we re-break it" part is pretty accurate. Especially since they want to keep kids out of surgery (and anesthesia) if at all possible, they probably stabilized the rest of the arm as best they could, and broke it there in the office.

Actually as a child who’s broken 10 bones (and counting 4 toes right foot, both wrists my fingers and my nose and the only one I’ve had to have anaesthesia for is the nose) as long as the bone isn’t missalined you don’t need to reset the bone, it’s fine, you just get an uncomfortable X-Ray and your cast applied and then you’re stuck with it till it’s off. I got lucky the only thing that’s healed slightly crooked was my nose but it’s minimal, also no they generally don’t just break the bone while you’re awake I’m pretty sure that’s some kind of child abuse, at least where I’m from they have to give you a sedative or Anastasia because it lowers the risk of further damage or injuries, imagine trying to break a 12 year olds arm, thats some medieval sh*t 😭

One time when I was like 8 I was asleep and on the top bunk of a bunk bed. I was tossing and turning when all of a sudden I started falling gracefully down to the floor. It hurt a little bit, but I was ok. I climbed back up to the top bunk and went back to sleep. So, even at 8 years old I was really pain tolerant

To make you feel better about liking the taste of coins as a child, Matthew, I currently find the taste of pennies (and by extension most lil bits of metal, especially zippers) nice, and I used to constantly chew on zippers and just like… hold pennies on my tongue I don’t do it anymore because I know better (and am more concerned about how the texture of zippers and pennies feel on my teeth lol) One of my main stims used to be chewing zippers

oh my godd same! although I liked the taste of jewellery and zips. I dont do it anymore though because when I was roughly 10, I noticed that the colour was coming off when I was doing that, and I didn't want to practically be eating the colour.

⚠️Long Story⚠️When I was younger I liked to do stuff with friends, so I was over at a friends house and we decided that we would climb up on the second bed ( It was a bunk bed ) and we had a bunch of pillows and bean bags on the bottom and we would jump from the bed to the bean bags, no one got hurt but they’re mom came in and said for us to “settle down” which I didn’t know what that meant, and I thought that meant to quiet down so we quiet down and kept jumping, I ended up getting in trouble and sent back home. :/

I'm the middle child, most accident-prone sibling! I used to wake up with random bruises on my legs and accepted it, no clue where they came from or why. Popped my chin open, along with ISS, the nurse' office was my "second-home" in elementary school! My mom calls me clumsy, I'm also scared of literally everything, including hights, sharp objects, tall people, bugs, the dark, and more!

the breaking the arm to fix it being crooked is basically how nose jobs work. they just break as much as they can of the nose to then make it heal in the way the patient wanted the nose. it's why when someone gets a nose job the nose is all swollen and bruised

I am also very accident-prone, but SOMEHOW I rarely get injured. And if I do, it's because of the dumbest stuff. Some prime examples: - Almost crashing down a very steep slope while sledding and instead slamming into a tree that had conveniently fallen over - Falling down the bunk bed head first while sleeping but somehow wrapping myself in the blanket and not even waking up - Trying to stand up from the floor after doing a puzzle, falling over, and ripping a tendon (while already in the hospital)

A stupid injury I’ve gotten is when I was 4-6 I ran headfirst into a wall- I had to get stiches on my eyebrow. Basically I was playing tag running around the doorways that connected the rooms in my grandparents house and I missed the doorway. Instead I smacked my face on the wall at full 4-6 year old speed. The first I remember afterwards is seeing blood dripping down into my field of vision.

11:20 OMG, I did something similar. Except it was actually fun. I didn't get hurt. Because I used all the pillows blankets and stuffed animals (I had a lot and some huge stuffed animals) on my bed and my sisters bottom bunk. The pile was huge. My parents hated when I did this. But I did it a lot. Also, I didn't belly flop lol. I would land on my knees.

The injury i vividly remember the most was when me and my classmates were playing tag while it was raining (so wet floors yippee!) And when i was running away from the it, and i slipped (because yay! wet floors),, i extended my arms to try and lessen the impact but I didn't see the rose plant so my hand was sliced by the thorns that you can see fat oozing out 😀👍

The only bone I've ever broken was my little toe. Which made standing painfull till it healed. However while at was at school the older bother of a friend shot me in Mt left (dominate) hand with a biro tip shot from from an air rife, it had to be surgically removed. Which sent me to school in a sling u till the stitches were removed (being my dominated hand they wanted to improve it so that I didn't interfere with the dealing) this was middle school

11:26 I had a similar experience when I still had a bunk bed when I was like 5 or so: I was sleeping on my top bunk and rolled over unknowingly and then the next thing I knew I fell down whacking my head on the floor. Fortunately this was back when we still had carpet floors in my bedroom so it wasn’t that dangerous but I vividly remember crying and walking into my moms room to tell her what happened because of how much pain I was in.

Funny. I’m a younger brother, and my older brothers had been more daredevilish. I conveniently learned by their example…for the most part. I mean, I had been a kid, so stupidity is sure to ensue. But look, it stands to reason that cars shouldn’t move if you don’t have keys, and buttons on emergency breaks are such an enticing challenge to press. RIP neighbor’s fence. Also Bryson and Brenner obviously drove through item boxes and got flipflops from those.

11:56 I have a bunk bed and when I was younger I fell and there was a metal/glass table and I hit my head on the metal leg. I didn’t cry until I overheard my parents talking about me getting stitches and I was scared of the doctor and getting stitches so we ended up not doing that and it naturally healed but now I have a scar on the back of my head

I have a younger brother too and nobody in my family has been seriously injured before whilst my brother somehow chopped his finger off on a fence in kindergarten and he had to have it sewn back also got a very deep gash in his chin by running around the pool, slipping, and hitting his chin on the sharp rim of the pool also somehow broke his arm while playing football by landing weirdly as he fell 😐 my guy pls take care of yourself Just got to the part where you broke your arm playing football too 😂

One time I accidentally stabbed my hand with a pencil then another time I touched a heat plate and burned my finger then another time i fell in my nose and it started to bleed, so that means i used up all my neat death experience points and can no longer die
