I think it’s a bit wholesome that Caine made a fake exit just to try make them feel better, without knowing what it should actually look like since he’s an AI with no grasp on human emotion.

It's probably the best example of the way Caine works. He means well and wants his human "guests" to be happy. But his AI has no concept of mental trauma or depression. Thus he tried to create the exit the humans keep searching for the only way he knows how, without understanding it would just make things worse for the sanity of any human that used it.

It deals with mature themes around psychological torture and stress, and some of the bigger questions the series asks might be a little too confusing for young viewers. Simply put, this is not a series made with kids in mind. That said, The Amazing Digital Circus is a fantastic fit for teens and pre-teens.
