Kyle didn't just fall in love with a picture. He was told for many years about the legend of Sarah Connor. She was a hero and an icon. Moreover, John Connor himself gave him the picture of Sarah and told him about her knowing that Kyle was going to be his father. John needed Kyle to fall in love with Sarah and went out of his way to make it happen. So it makes sense that Kyle loved her.

The most tragic part of this movie is when that awesome sandwich Ginger made ends up on the floor. That thing was slapping, and it just got stepped on and completely wasted. Who cares about the robot apocalypse when you can have a Scoobie-Doo sammich?

I enjoyed your reaction! Before you watch Terminator 2, I recommend checking out a Trailer called "Terminator 2 Teaser Endoskeleton Factory". I have never seen anybody react to it yet, so it would be cool if you did, it just lasts 1 minute. I think this is a brilliant and unique trailer from back in the day, because it doesnt spoil the plot at all, like it is the often the case in modern movie trailers. This trailer doesnt even contain a single scene from the movie itself, yet it perfectly explains the setup for the 2nd movie and why there is a second Terminator. However stay away from other trailers, because they contain spoilers

Phone books listed people's phone number and address, by alphabetical order, but ONLY for that city, and ONLY if you didnt want to keep it private.
@im-gi2pg
@im-gi2pg 19 күн бұрын
You had to pay extra and have a good reason to keep your address private or be in law enforcement to have everything unlisted. The phone book forced regular people into being in the book, address and all. It was normal. It would be highly suspicious not to find anyone in the phone book and their address. Time passed very slowly too. Each home had one landline 📞 phone and one television 📺 set both in the livingroom. Tv shut down at 11pm. Read a book.

Telephone books contained your name, address and telephone number. They weren’t national. Can you imagine a book that contained the names and the addresses and phone numbers of over 300 million people? Telephone books only contain the information for a city or town. For small towns, there may be several in one book. For larger cities may require more than one book based on a region of that city. The telephone book called the white pages were for residential names, addresses, and telephone numbers. The telephone book called the yellow pages were for businesses. That’s where you will look up mechanics, doctors, lawyers, etc.. also in the yellow pages you will see various size ads for these different businesses. Phone books were useful, but they weren’t portable. Almost every Home had two, one yellow and one white

18:26 the crazy thing is, allthough it looks artificial in the movie, I would not be suprirsed that a Terminator in real world would actually look like this, because I would expect it to look prosthetic.
@stevesheroan4131

The ultra-fast hookup was just necessary, and they tried to set it up as best they could with Sarah’s unsuccessful date and Kyle never having a wife/girlfriend, and Kyle having nothing but a picture of “the legend”. Mix that with some trauma bonding and it’s not too crazy. Doesn’t help the bootstrap paradox issue, but hey it’s a movie.
@TheChapelGrove
@TheChapelGrove 3 ай бұрын
The bootstrap paradox is resolved with one simple twist -- Kyle lied. There was no John Connor in the future, but they knew they desperately needed someone like him. So he came back in time to create a John Connor to lead the resistance. This prompted the machines to send a terminator back to foil his plan. So even though the terminator arrived here first, he didn't necessarily leave the future first. That's my solution anyway. Great movie!

Hi. What you and Arnold really need to watch is the True Lies of 1994! A wonderful comedy by your, and, I note, mine too, the most beloved director Jim Cameron! The film became the highest-grossing action movie at the time of release with an R rating, according to some reports, surpassing the budget even of T2! The picture definitely deserves to be reviewed)

I was around 14 when this movie released, I take offense to your statement! lol Kidding of course. The way phonebooks worked is just as you see in this movie, addresses and sometimes phone numbers, it was a different world back then. Obviously the internet wasn't around, and the way to get addresses were phonebooks, businesses, you name it. The people listing their home address and numbers was optional. Even back then, I thought listing numbers was crazy, but again, it was a different time.
@TheChapelGrove
@TheChapelGrove 3 ай бұрын
True, it was optional. But if you didn't want your name, address and phone number in the book then you had to pay extra for an "unlisted number". But you're right, life would have been hard back then without a phone book -- and the Yellow Pages. The Internet is just as dangerous. You'd be amazed how much info about you can be found online.
@MacMc691
@MacMc691 3 ай бұрын
@@TheChapelGrove Yep, the good old unlisted number cost. lol The internet is far more dangerous than what we had back then and it's not even close, there's a reason the term doxing gets tossed around so much. The closest thing we had to that was either the botched party lines or wire tapping, might be a couple more that I'm not remembering, but it's far worse in today's world.
