Yeah, I hate wz2 because of the fact that I just straight up enjoyed wz1 more, but I can’t honestly go back and play more than a few games on wz1 since there isn’t really any value behind the game anymore. I do hope that eventually the mw2 player base will drop significantly and they will add back rebirth to wz1

People wouldn't be complaining about Warzone 2.0 or COD in general if what IW changed was good. But they change stuff that doesn't need to be changed and keep certain things that didn't work well to begin with. The current devs recognize the stagnation of the series but they don't know what to fix to make it fresh without also breaking things. The problem lies in the fact that the current leadership doesn't understand the product of COD super well because they weren't responsible for how good it was in the first place. The original leadership for IW especially is long gone. It's dubious at this point if there is anyone left that was part of the development teams during the COD4 to Black ops 2 era.

Compared to WZ2 and MW2 it looks awful

Wz2 looks cartoony like black ops, there’s a reason everyone can fov now and couldn’t on wz1, and that the file size is smaller

They never fucked up. It will never be like that. They moved a from a generation of cod games to the next. The main issue is the cod community is overly salty because they ruin the new games by comparing the old games when they weren't that good, had more problems than modern cods, and only really fueled by nostalgia. There was no fuck up, the cod community just complains way too fucking much. You can say im wrong, but heres an example. Warzone 2 released warzone cup. It was bugged to say free but you couldn't enter it without buying mw2. Immediately, nobody thought it was a bug and that is was an intentional choice. Literally no benefit of the doubt even though it was already said to be free for all players. The hate is just blind rage because they can't make your childhood back. Also this comment is dumb. If they re-release any map from covid era of course people are gonna want to play the maps they Literally have hours and hours of of playtime on. Thats why warzone was even as popular as it was to begin with. I would also like to mention how the player count was at the end of its lifecycle. Definitely not reminiscent of a "good game" but i digress.

Warzone 1 is a game fueled by broken weapons and a broken 3 year movement mechanic that shouldn't have made a skill gap. Right now, warzone 2 is a better game than warzone 1 because balance.
