I’m a year and a half into my journey and I only use shampoo, a water based leave-in, and rose water on my hair. And the only time I’ve ever used a comb on my locs was when I comb coiled to start them. I also don’t use clips during retwist. I’m fortunate that my retwist will hold with such little product and even without looping the locs at the base. I am loving the simplicity of it all❤️

I’ve only had one retwist so far, and only used oil and water. That’s how I plan to do it going forward 🤗! Lovely results😍! Thanks for sharing ❤️!

i use almond oil with a couple essentials oils, rose water, and water for my retwist :)

I just started locs three days ago and I’m excited for the journey. I want to learn how to retwist my hair before I go to a loc stylist. Would you recommend that I start with finger twisting my hair for my re-twists every month ?

I love love this set of locs as well, I also use foaming setting lotion on my locs and have been doing so for a long time…my question is using it on newer locs will it lessen the fizz that is needed to help loc the locs, just curious

Can you try a retwist with Barry fletcher loc serum? I love it on my locs it’s a bit pricey but I think it worth it.
