The Victor looks so evil I love it

Here's a little bit of nerdy trivia for plane fans, the victor which is the big plane at the start was one of three planes put forward in the UK back in the 1950's with the other two being the valiant and the Vulcan which is the big triangle one that used to go to airshows years ago.The issue was the three planes were designed to fly higher and faster than surface to air missiles of the day but by the time they entered service better missiles existed that invalidated that strategy which then consequently had them used for low level bombing instead, the only issue was that the victor and valiant's air frames couldn't handle the extra stress and some of them were lost.The Vulcan was fine because it was heavily over engineered by Avro an as a result could be used for lower level bombing attacks, the valiant was retired from service due to adopting a habit of spontaneous disassembly and finally the victor actually proved quite effective as a flying tanker due to it's increased internal capacity over the Valiant and Vulcan. And for car fans you might be interested to know that some variants of the lada had a small removable patch in the floor I think of the front passenger side so you could park on frozen lakes and ice fish.

It's so unusual to see, as russian, our VAZ "Pyatyorka" in Europe. When I was little kid I always thought that only we having those cars inside our country, including my fathers former owned 2104 "Chetvyorka", because we are poor and all europeans always driving some VW or MB, ha-ha). But thankfully now I know that poor or very pragmatical european people, especially in northern part, bought Riva's and was very happy about those cars even if they broke more often than european rivals. They was dirt-cheap in europe - that was some right move to do that time for "good-for-nothing" Lada now...)
